Donald Trump lashed out at CNN, NBC and the “fake news media” as a new report emerged that he and former lawyer Michael Cohen had a plan to buy up all the damaging material the National Enquirer had collected on him since the '80s.
Tweeted Trump: “The hatred and extreme bias of me by @CNN has clouded their thinking and made them unable to function. But actually, as I have always said, this has been going on for a long time. Little Jeff Z has done a terrible job, his ratings suck, & AT&T should fire him to save credibility! … What's going on at @CNN is happening, to different degrees, at other networks – with @NBCNews being the worst. The good news is that Andy Lack(y) is about to be fired(?) for incompetence, and much worse. When Lester Holt got caught fudging my tape on Russia, they were hurt badly!”

He went on to rage about the media coverage of Don McGahn's departure: “Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner had NOTHING to do with the so called “pushing out” of Don McGahn.The Fake News Media has it, purposely,so wrong! Meanwhile, the New York Times reported on Thursday that Trump and his former lawyer Michael Cohen had a plan to buy all the dirt that the National Enquirer had collected on Trump since the 1980s.
The NYT reports: “The existence of the plan, which was never finalized, has not been reported before. But it was strongly hinted at in a recording that Mr. Cohen's lawyer released last month of a conversation about payoffs that Mr. Cohen had with Mr. Trump…The move by Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen indicated just how concerned they were about all the information amassed by the company, American Media, and its chairman, David Pecker, a loyal Trump ally of two decades who has cooperated with investigators.”
