Today is the first day of Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing, which you can watch via the livestream above.
Mediaite reports: “Kavanaugh's appointment would tip the balance of the Supreme Court to a decidedly more conservative tilt, and pro-choice advocates are gravely worried that his nomination would lead to overturning Roe vs. Wade. Conservatives are delighted, however, by the prospect of having a majority of Supreme Court appointed by Republican presidents. Kavanaugh served as White House legal counsel under George W. Bush, and prior to that, served under the Independent Counsel of Kenneth Starr, which critics saw as an overtly political inquiry designed to bring down the Clinton administration (and eventually led to the 42nd president's impeachment.)”

The Washington Post reports: “Hours before the start of hearings on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, the lawyer for former president George W. Bush turned over 42,000 pages of documents from the nominee's service in the Bush White House, angering Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, who issued what is certain to be a futile call to delay the proceedings.”
Republicans know this has been the least transparent SCOTUS process in history and the hearings should be delayed until we can fully review Judge Kavanaugh's records.

It's no wonder that @realDonaldTrump picked Brett Kavanaugh to sit on a potential “jury” in the Mueller probe. Kavanaugh believes sitting presidents should not be investigated or held accountable like other citizens. Judge Kavanaugh thinks presidents are above the law.
