Reuters today suspended use of 920 photographs by Lebanese photographer Adnan Hajj after it was discovered that he was perhaps the worst Photoshop artist ever.
Said Reuters Global Picture Editor Tom Szlukovenyi: “There is no graver breach of Reuters standards for our photographers than the deliberate manipulation of an image.”
In related news, the discovery of a doctored photo of actress Kate Bosworth which made her appear more skeletal than she already is, elicited this sympathetic response from US Weekly:
“We were upset because she seems to have arms for legs and the collar-bone-as-potential-deadly-weapon thing going on…This is not to say that girlfriend wouldn’t benefit if she had to pack on 20 pounds of muscle for a Blue Crush sequel, but you know, at least she doesn’t have arm-legs.”
And they say war is hell.
