Indian Protestors: Decriminalize Homosexuality

Mumbai

Activists in Mumbai, India, protested against Section 377 Tuesday, a law brought into that country by the British in 1860, that implies homosexual acts are a criminal offense. The law declares that "Whoever has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to a fine."
