Sports Illustrated’s Pro Baseball Pin-ups

Deadspin revisits Sports Illustrated‘s most homoerotic photoshoot, a shirtless line-up of Derek Jeter, A-Rod, Alex Gonzalez, Rey Ordonez, and Edgar Renteria: “Seriously, though, how did this photo shoot start? ‘OK, everyone, you’re the biggest, most up-and-coming shortstops in the game today, so we wanted to get a shot of all of you together. Now … off with those shirts, people. Come on, come on, we’re all adults here.'”

Who cares how it started. How can we get it to happen again?

I love the (mostly) hetero-male assertion that seeing a man in anything less than a bee keeper’s outift immediately makes you a homo.

They all actually have better arms than that picture shows. Given the set-up, I think it’s actually a very UN-sexy shot.

Totally tired of Jeter’s overexposure. He is not at all sexy. A-Rod — does he even have a hair on his chin? These guys do nothing for me.

for certain people baseball is more than a passion, such as mine, I plead total fan of the sport, regardless of the color of the shirt, I like reading about this subject, thanks for sharing.
