On Your Knees for Dolce & Gabbana Jeans

There’s nothing subtle about this reportedly recent Dolce & Gabbana‘s jeans ad, which goes balls out to their gay audience.

But while the concept may be direct, it’s not really that original. As adrants notes, a fake series of Puma ads posted a few years ago by bloggers serviced the straights in the same way.

Anybody seen this running?

Okay, I’m too fat for these jeans, but this ad makes me feel naughty. I’ve been bad.

These are shots on the Brokeback Mountain set?? All that hay is making me feel itchy.

Sigh. I wish someone would scratch. ūüėČ

sheesh – I really rather watch the Gap campaign. tattered jeans around your ankles makes it a gay ad? put the other on his knees in front of the D&Gs and know we’re moving in a provocative direction. but seriously, does anyone other than fashionistas wear D&G?

OKAY – now I see the other guy on his knees. it took a second look for me – unfortunately before I posted. sorry about the miss.

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned, when refering to these ads, that they are clearly ‘behind the scenes’ snapshots of guys in various states of undress and dressing for a gay porn film. Perhaps it’s too obvious to mention…
The ad with the two guys in white and the naked guy spreading infront of another actor and the director is my favourite.

This is actually the spring campaign and ran in lots of mens fashion magazines. These images were also in the stores for in-store marketing. The campaign for the fall is very different.

LOL….every day, more and more, I think we’re all so overdue for an old style ‘National Lampoon’ spoof. We could just publish this ūüėČ
