News: Wal-Mart, Wombs, Alan Cumming, Gay Bullying
Did Indonesian black magic practitioner curse Bush and entourage? "First, daughter Barbara had her purse burgled right out from under her cute perky little nose, while the Secret Service looked on. Second, two motorcycles in Bush's motorcade crashed yesterday, leaving three officers injured and one in serious condition and finally, top White House official and acting Director of the White House Travel office, Greg Pitts, was beaten and burgled yesterday outside of a Honolulu night club."

Amazing pictures from inside the womb of elephants, dolphins, dogs...
American Family Association calls off Thanksgiving boycott of Wal-Mart after company caves and changes policy language. Retailer says it "will not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues unless they directly relate to our ability to serve our customers." Wal-Mart does say they will still support gay rights groups on specific issues like workplace equality: "Going forward, we would partner with them on specific initiatives. ...As to opposed to just giving blanket support to their general operating budget."
Judge: Police were right in telling Wisconsin man to get his anti-gay signs off of freeway overpasses.
Alan Cumming to receive honorary degree from the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland for his contribution to film and television and his work to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

A few Ian Thorpe good-bye press conference pics...
Davis, California high school taking stand against homophobic bullying. Principal to student body: "Some of you sitting in this audience today have said mean things to others. Or you have stood by and watched others say things to hurt someone. We all must take a stand against every kind of taunt, every kind of slur or put-down ... whether that is because of race, or because how much money someone has, because their family is different or because of their gender, or religion, physical appearance or the country they come from, or because of their sexual identity. Anti-gay sentiments are probably the most difficult problem facing us."

Of course they called off their boycott. Those right-wing freaks couldn't live without Wal-Mart.

That shot of the elephant is kind of gross, thank god I'm not cooking the turkey this year....

HMMMM... WOW! the elepahant in the womb was amazing! I bet we could all agree that "THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE of NATURES MIRACLE of LIFE"
I bet all the libs on this site would have a much different reaction if say this was a picture of a HUMAN in the womb.
KILL BABIES. NOT TERRORISTS. vote demoRATic!

Whatever Mark. When a baby is as developed as the elephant is, it's no longer an option to abort.
Go back to Free Republic where you belong.

Huh. I didn't get the memo that gays are boycotting Wal-Mart in retaliation.
Oh, right. We don't boycott anything.

Oh Ed, late term abortions are done ALL THE TIME! (On humans i mean) Never on the precious elephants of course... unless the elephant mothers' life is in danger...
Ed, your the party of ABORTION ON DEMAND! Demand your Right to kill your unborn children!

Andy, it's your blog, and so you can link to whatever you want and post pictures of whatever you want, but I could seriously have done without the elephant in the womb. The last time I gagged that much was... well, no need to go into that.
Posted by: Jordan | Nov 22, 2006 6:13:38 PM
I agree Jordan...as much as the boys bitch I'd rather see more of Jake and Matt bonding
oh and mark ... if abortion was available on demand, I'd demaned your mmother had one with you

The Davis High School Principal sounds like a really good human being.

Mark, where do you come up with this stuff. You are hysterical. Is this some sort of character--like in a comedy improv group or something "over-the-top-conservative-gay-guy". You are ready for prime time man!
Posted by: Daniel | Nov 22, 2006 6:45:18 PM
Daniel I agree. If you like this one you've got to scroll down and read his posts on the Mitt Romney cutting funds for a gay suicide line. I was having the jones with Jon Stewart being off, this just did the trick. Man is he either the most clever posers or the biggest douche bag idiot ever on this blog.

Patrick, you are so right. It's so surreal. It's like Ann Coulter in drag (assuming she's not already). Mark, you left normal long ago.
Posted by: Daniel | Nov 22, 2006 7:00:06 PM
WOW.... Daniel I never thought of that. I have often said no one has balls like Coulter...maybe he/she is the same...would make sense except I think Coulter can spell, unless....she's usiing her/his interns...hmmmmm
Posted by: patrick nyc | Nov 22, 2006 7:05:02 PM
Could be Patrick little Coulterkins scouring the internet posting bizarre rambling things.

I don't know what to make of Wal Mart. The hubby is having a real crisis of conscience. Apparently Wal Mart will begin only to sell fish that are sustainably harvested. That means much to my better half, so we might actually start to go there. We've assiduously avoided the stores until now. Maybe Wholefoods will move to town and we can feel good about eating fish again. My only problem with their decision is what constitutes "controversial?"

Whoa there Mark! Time to get back on the meds. Skipping pills clearly isn't doing your sanity any favors...

Hi everyone. I am Mark. I have a small penis. I like pushing peoples buttons. George Bush and Ann Coulter are my heros. I masturbate to them every night. Civil rights are not important. Republicans are our friends. One day, I want to grow up to be a vapid fascist like Ann Coulter. Democrats are BAD people. Very very bad. I have no friends. Please help me... please...

Well - in spite of the elephant fetus photo that probably make you lose your appetite already - I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving today!
Posted by: Rich | Nov 23, 2006 9:36:15 AM
Chile, I'd rather look at an elephant fetus than Jocelyn Wildestein ANY day!
Happy Gobble Gobble everybody!

Andy,
I love the elephant photo. Ditto all the other fetus pics in the link. Thanks for the post.
Happy Thanksgiving, all.

gay rights....and wal-mart?? yeah -- along with the wink-wink nudge-nudge sentiment....about as endearing as rogers and hammerstein -- colorful schlock on the surface and every other set of grand delusion that goes along with plenty of fake news-feeds that are fed one to the other in order to maintain this "prozac nation" -- the tweaker scenes are tired.

walmart -- and every other ramification of such imagery -- observing or working in the states or overseas for awareness of exploitation and human rights....pick your theme song for this dreary showcase! do their employees even get a paycheck??

Andy,
Thanks for the photos of the fetuses. I thought it was fascinating to see what these animals looked like in the womb. And while I will always defend a woman's right to choose whether or not to abort a pregnancy, the pictures *do* make one think...well, unless your name is Mark that is.
