News: Helen Thomas, Oscars, Brian Austin Green, Great Wall
Sunday's Oscars to be the longest ever, Ellen Degeneres to open show dancing with the Happy Feet penguins.

Injustice: 86-year-old veteran newswoman Helen Thomas pushed to second row in White House briefing room after 46 years up front. Thomas: “I didn’t think I had a monopoly on that seat. Since my peers have decided that I don’t belong there, I’ll bow to their – I’ll drink the – What did Socrates drink? (Hemlock?) I’ll drink it. You have to submit to the will of the people, and apparently this is the will of my peers. It’s OK with me. I’ve had a good run in the front seat."
Brian Austin Green to play gay in a new TV pilot from Will & Grace creators Kohan and Mutchnick about, well, them.

Rich Australian man with mansion-for-rent hopes his dog will attract same-sex weddings. Why, I'm not sure.
It's hard to know whether Britney is in rehab or out anymore.

It's time to chat with male model Ryan Diesel.
Three Dollar Bill talks to gay porn superagent David Forest on the eve of the GayVN Awards, known to many as the Oscars of gay porn: "The studios don't want to pay huge salaries anymore. They don't want to pay $25,000 to headliners anymore. They don't like anything coming between them and their stars so they sign them up for exclusives like contract players in the old Hollywood. In the mainstream world, the agent for Jennifer Hudson [an Oscar nominee for the movie Dreamgirls, a David Geffen property] can now get her twice the money. In my business, you try to get bigger money and the studios say, 'Nah, we'll pass.' It exasperates me that they won't take it to the next level. There's always a new guy. You're just a top or a bottom. That's what turns me off and will end my reign in this business. They don't want to rock'n'roll with me."
David Mixner on the selling out of John McCain.
A meditation on Steve Jobs and DRM on music: "At the end of the day, DRM is the biggest impediment to a legitimate music market. Apple doesn't sell music because of DRM -- it sells music in spite of DRM. The iTunes Store proves that you can compete with free. People have bought billions of dollars worth of music from Apple because it offered a better user experience. But no one bought for the DRM. Some people bought in spite of it, some bought in ignorance of it, but there's no customer for whom DRM is a selling point. No one woke up this morning wishing for a way to do less with her music."

The world of "high fashion" is such a load of BS. A bunch of designers whose stuff "looks good" only because they say so.

I used to like John McCain, until he became the lapdog of the far right. I have lost all respect for him.

One of my little secrets is that I've always had a thing for Brian Austin Green. I think he's sexy, I can't help it.

The Daniel Radcliffe photo has definately been photoshopped. Perhaps his groin area is real, but the giveaway is the pubic hair. It has been copied, pasted and slightly enlarged above onto his stomach below the belly button to give the impression he has a hairier area below his belly button and probably to help mask the overall pasting. If you open the photo in photshop and lighten it up you can see it more clearly.

So this Ryan Diesel has a kid but is he straight? Some of his answers in that interview are a bit ambiguous.

That Daniel Radcliffe is a total photochop job, and not even a very good one at that--his hips are at the same level as his navel. You can see the original picture (of the top half) here:

I'll be watching Ellen this Sunday.
The Bush administration have been threatening Helen for years.
John McCain is in free fall. Evilgenicals don't buy his conversion to their side. His Iraq surge plan is unpopular now and will become even more unpopular when it fails. There will be no President John McCain. Thank God! LOL
I hope Karl brings some GAY models with him.

Um...a cockring? Not only does that make it an obvious fake, but the photoshopper had to be an idiot to leave it in.

the daniel radcliffe photo is a photoshop job made by livejournal username herbertvonkoln, who later admitted that it was a fake.

Why do people still say "male model"? Why not just "model"?

"Both CNN and Fox have expressed interest in moving up from the second row." Anyone wanna take bets on which one of those news organizations gets Helen Thomas' seat?

Brian Austin Green? Isn't that the one that tried to be the rapper??? Oh, hell no.

Thanks for the link, Andy!
To address a comment above, Ryan Diesel's MySpace page identifies him as straight.
I don't really broach the subject of sexuality in the interview, so if there are ambiguous answers it was only due to ambiguous questions. =)
If an interviewee brings it up and wants to talk about it, cool... is it a stock question during my interviews? No. =)
Thanks for reading!

Ok..first off, Ryan Diesel can squat in my window in his underwear anytime he wants. That is one fine piece of human male flesh.
Second...Ellen and the penguins? This might just go the way of the whole Rob Lowe/Snow White thing from way back in the day.
My predictions of Sunday night's winners can be found by clicking on my name below.
Cheers!

Peter Steven Colbert says it's only fair to give the seat to FOX, this way Tony Snow can sit down.

PatrickNYC...that Steven Colbert comment would be funny except that it's so fucking sad and true. Sigh.

I find Ryan Diesel incredibly boring to look at...bring back Chad White!
Posted by: peterparker | Feb 23, 2007 6:59:47 PM
Mr. Parker,
If it wasn't for Jon Stewart I would have hung myself with Bush in the White House. I still care about what goes on in this mad world but I think George Carlin said these words of wisdom. The world is a freak show. You have a choice in life, you can watch it or try and change it. If you believe you can change it you just become part of the freak show, I choose to pull up a seat and watch.
