Condi Biographer: "I Never Came Close to Finding a Female Lover"

In the upcoming issue of the Advocate, Matthew Link interviews Marcus Mabry, who has just published Twice as Good: Condoleezza Rice and Her Path to Power (the first biography on the Secretary of State on which she has cooperated). They discuss, in part, Condi's sexuality. Mabry says that despite all the rumors that she's a lesbian, in all his research he never found any proof:

Condi"The lesbian rumors have been out there for a long time. In my reporting of this book for two years, at evey turn I encountered someone telling me, 'you know she's a lesbian, right?'— colleagues at Stanford, Colleagues in Washington, fellow professors around the country. That she told so-and-so she was gay, or she went out with this woman or that woman. And I would trace each of the rumors back and report them out, and they would never go anywhere. I never even came close to finding a female lover. People had assumed that her best friend, who is a gay man, was her boyfriend. Again, I think it's the Southern imerative to keep the public and the private separate. People have no idea who the private Conoleezza is, so they fill that vacuum. In private she's incredibly warm and gracious—it's shocking. Oftentimes people think a single, strong, powerful woman must be a lesbian. There's a certain homophobia implicit in that assumption."

The issue goes on sale this week.

  1. Lesbian, straight, bi, transgender, asexual, Martian—I don't give a flying fuck. The only thing that matters is that she is an unindicted war criminal whose lying tongue struts the bloody earth she and her Master created.

    "Noon by the clock
and so still by the dock
You can hear a foghorn miles away
And in that quiet of death
    I'll say, 'Right now.
    Right now'!"

  2. Condi's best friend is gay? What kind of self-respecting gay man would be her friend?

  3. Obviously the reporter didn't talk to any of the women who went to school with Condi.

And he certainly didn't talk to Gwen Iffil.

    Not that she'd talk.

  5. The last sentence in the quoted exerpt reminds me of what a friend once told me. She was a VERY high ranking executive of one of the Fortune 500 companies back in the late '80s and early '90s. She and I were attending some function or another and I was wearing a blue suit (the only one I owned, by the way) with a pair of Rockports. She looked at me and said (and this is a quote) "I do so envy men. You can have short short hair, wear comfortable shoes with a suit and no one thinks you're a lesbian."

  9. Her one true love is Bush. I don't think she is a lesbian. I think she has always been so smitten with Bush that no one else ever enters her heart.

The question is wether it is unrequited love or is she his mistress.

  12. Any other proof that The Advocate has been taken over by the neocon/zionist agenda?

they run a cover on Obama and Clinton titled "who's gayer".

Followed by a story rehabilitating Rice's legacy while denying her homosexuality in the same breath.

Wake up, the take over of the gay and black communities is going to be complete soon.
