Rosie O'Donnell Loses MSNBC Show, Cries for Clinton
Rosie O'Donnell, whose tendency to spew forth unedited has garnered her as much fame as it has trouble, now says that recent reports of a chat show gig on MSNBC have been ruined because she opened her mouth to soon. She writes, on her blog:
"msnbc / one hour / live / following keith olbermann / we were close to a deal / almost done / i let it slip in / miami / causing panic on the studio end / well / what can u do / 2day there is no deal / poof / my career as a / pundit is over / b4 it began / just as well / i figure / everything happens for a reason / bashert - as we say // and on we go"
That's a shame. We would have definitely tuned in. Rosie made an appearance at the New York Comedy Festival Tuesday night, Page Six reports, in which she told the audience that Bill Clinton had sent her a card after she "slammed" him at a comedy performance at the Mohegan Sun Casino Hotel following the Lewinsky affair.
Said O'Donnell at the casino show: "He disgusts me. And I know I'm not supposed to say this because I'm a good Democrat, but I didn't want to [talk] to him because he lied to me when he said, 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman,' and then put the scarlet-letter [bleep]-job on her for the rest of her life . . . I still hate you!"
Rosie told the comedy fest audience she called the phone number attached to the note and talked to the former pres: "My knees got weak. I was like, 'Can I [bleep] you?' No, I didn't say it, but I felt it - I was like, 'Whoa! Whoa!' And he said, 'I was at your show the other night, and I was sorry that you didn't come over and say hello to me. And I know that you're still harboring some hard feelings. And I said, 'You know, listen, here's the deal, dude. I've been disappointed by men my whole life. I loved JFK, my mother loved JFK, and you were the JFK to me. And you let me down, man. You killed me and that hurt me a lot, and when you hurt me, I don't know, I didn't expect that out of you and I thought you could do better for your wife, for the country and just in general."
Rosie told the audience that Clinton's response had her in tears: "He goes, 'I'm sorry for all the men who ever hurt you, I'm sorry that I hurt you. Everything you've said to me, I've said to myself, and I hope one day you can forgive me, and I hope I can forgive me.'"

Oh my God when are we just going to get over the fact that Clinton lied about getting a blowjob from a zaftig White House intern? He lied about it for the same reason married people (of both sexes) have lied about extracurricular dalliances for the past billion years. Jesus, Rosie... pull it together already. Damn, that woman does a lot for our community, but she's pretty hard for me to take nowadays.

Rosie - i like her, but she had no one to blame but herself for opening her mouth. It would have been refreshing to have her on msnbc. and i love Olbermann, even tho in US he is sort of like a 2nd rate host apparently. (Canuck here)

Dammit! I am so disappointed! Rosie is such a refreshing, dare-I-say political voice in contemporary American media that is so diluted with misinformation and behind-the-scenes politicking. In my opinion, she is not even that radical or leftist, she is just HONEST. I am very disappointed to see this MSNBC gig fall through. She was great on the View and really entered some provocative political questions into the public discourse, and it was about time SOMEONE had the courage to do it.

Um, he put the scarlet letter on her?!? I thought she pretty much hand-embroidered that on herself.

Dear Rosie:
You disgust me. I have not forgotten that you more than willingly tried to pass yourself off as being straight in your former daytime talk show because you were raking in money. You were more than happy to appear to millions of Americans as a woman who had a huge crush on Tom Cruise, going on and on about how beautiful he was. There was no mention to the public then about your being a lesbian. Those public declarations came only after the show was no longer on the air and you were very secure financially.
You said Clinton disgusts you because he lied to the American public. So let's not forget, so did you.

Tom- Rosie was openly lesbian BEFORE her talk show..just because she didnt have a People magazine cover, doesnt mean she was in the closet. She still talks about how hot Tom Cruise is all the time. While she was on her show, there were often pictures of her on Page Six with whatever current woman she was dating as they attended a show, or rode on her Harley. Not screaming "Im a dyke" from the rooftops is not the same as hiding in the closet.

Sorry Chris
Rosie was indeed in the closet--as much as her brother---Irish Guilt.
with your logic we should lay off Anderson, or how about Kelly Magillis dare I go on and on?
And PLEASE she tells that Clinton story over and over....it's OLD folks
And hey, I've always been an advocate of ROD's work but it was not a good fit.
She's not interested in doing the work that is nec for a 5 show week.
PERIOD.

"He goes, 'I'm sorry for all the men who ever hurt you, I'm sorry that I hurt you. Everything you've said to me, I've said to myself, and I hope one day you can forgive me, and I hope I can forgive me.'"
Cue single tear. Cue violin. Cue warm embrace. And fade out...
I love Bill. He's the perfect politician. He knows exactly what to say.

Well if I didn't believe in God before, then I do now. Thank God this overgrown, stupid loud whale is not going to be on television. If I want to hear convoluted conspiracy theories from a maniac attention whore I'll tune into local public access.
and yes, you can "re-write" history all you want, but Rosie intentionally downplayed being a lesbian and played up the whole "Tommy can you hear me" so people would think she was straight. No question. And now she has the nerve to throw stones!? Thankfully America has seen enough mental meltdowns from Rosie so that she will forever be fodder for jokes. Her opinions are like her waistline, ..overblown.

Wow....I thought I was the only Gay in the country who was fed up to my eyeballs with Rosie, the loud, foul mouthed bully dyke. She's not only opinionated(usually wrongly) but her ranting about all the nutjob conspirecy theory's just made her even more obviously a loonie.

"Oh my God when are we just going to get over the fact that Clinton lied about getting a blowjob from a zaftig White House intern?" That part I could care less about. He lied in a court of law under penalty of perjury to derail a sexual harassment claim. That's entirely different.

Excellent Tom and Joshua!

No Rosie. This Thanksgiving, I'll actually have something to truly be thankful for.

The only possible thing I can think of that would allow some sorry lesbo or any other breathing animal for that matter to get naked next to that fat sloppy disgusting hog is that she must give the best a-hole tongue washing around imaginable after a good heathly dump. Even that would not prevent me from spewing puke all over her disgusting face afterward.

I like Rosie... she is a bit extreme...but you know what? so am I. And from what I read on some of these posts, so are a lot of other people. I don't think I will totally discount her ranting and raving. I thought she was a bit out there about 9-11... but guess what I have been doing my own research and I have come to believe that there is quite a bit of information that the American public is not being told regarding that incident. Do I believe George Bush planned the attack? NO... But I am not so quick to believe anything that is relayed to me by fox news or any other news channel. I do recall that George Bush said he saw the first plane crash into the World Trade Center.... We are living in a crazy world....I am glad I am 61 and not 19.... I don't scream as loud now as I did when I was younger.... by the way guys and gals.... some calling each other names... it doesn't make for good debate... :-)
