News: Giant Bug Fossil, Lourdes, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Egypt
The reason for Jonathan Rhys-Meyers recent arrest for drunk and disorderly behavior in Dublin revealed: his mother's death.

Fossil of world's largest bug discovered: "Found in a German quarry, the claw is 46cm (18ins) long, suggesting the sea scorpion was 2.5m (8ft) long - almost two feet longer that it was previously thought the aquatic creatures grew to. Because land-based scorpions and spiders are believed to have descended from the sea scorpion, scientist believe the discovery means that they also may have been even bigger than had been believed."

Bush pushing through regulations that will further restrict the ability of HIV-positive people to enter the United States: "This is a big disappointment, given the rhetoric of the Bush administration that the US was making it easier - because the new regs simply add more heavy burdens for the HIV-positive traveler."
Gloves are off. Clinton mocks Obama over foreign policy experience: "Voters will have to judge if living in a foreign country at the age of 10 prepares one to face the big, complex international challenges the next president will face. I think we need a president with more experience than that, someone the rest of the world knows, looks up to and has confidence in." Obama shoots back: "Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld have spent time in the White House and traveled to many countries as well, but along with Hillary Clinton they led us into the worst foreign policy disaster in a generation and are now giving George Bush the benefit of the doubt on Iran. The real choice in this election is between conventional Washington thinking that prizes posture and positioning, or real change that puts judgment and honesty first."
Dennis Quaid and Cedars Sinai speak out: Quaid twins tragedy "preventable".

Canadian Polar Bear "harvest" risks population collapse: "In Canada, government hunting quotas encourage killing male polar bears over female ones. The theory is that, because females rear the bear cubs, losing one female polar bear will have a more serious impact on the population's ability to sustain its number. As a result, at least two thirds of polar bears killed in Canada each year are male, according to a separate study that will appear in a forthcoming issue of the journal Wildlife Biology. Research has shown that the policy has significantly reduced the ratio of males to females in polar bear populations across the Canadian Arctic."

Two groups of scientists announce they are able to create embryonic stem cells from ordinary skin cells: "The breakthrough marks the beginning of a new era for stem cell biology and could be the end for cloning as an alternative way to produce stem cells. One expert said cloning was now 'dead in the water'. Using the new technique, scientists were able to 'rewind' adult cells back to their embryonic state. The process paves the way for stocks of stem cells that can be turned into any of the 200 or so tissue types in the body."

That's what I love about Oprah! Last week, she's preaching about uncluttering your life, how people need to stop hoarding, and how to purge unecessary stuff. Then she does her 'favorite things' show where she ladens people with tons o' crap they don't need. No matter what that girl says, she's right. The audience on that video is hilarious.

All Gay Eyptians should have automatic immigation and asylum here in the United States, and the ones who look like Omar Sharif should be sent directly to Philadelphia--immediately....well, an Omar Sharif in his twenties.

The Gay news article on the HIV+ travel restrictions is the worst piece of reporting I have ever read. Reporting only one side of the discussion and interviewing people who only agree with the writer is shameful.
Let's be realistic, there are people in countries without the money and medicine to ensure a healthy life with HIV who would love to come here, park and attempt to have their illness treated. It is not the responsibility of the United States, and the US taxpayers to support these people.
Those who are truly visiting, or passing through via airplane transfer must show that they have their medication and medical coverage. That is fair.
The anti-discrimination and protective clauses for sick people in our laws are for US citizens, not anyone in the world.

About the Canadian Polar Bear piece...Talk about gender-based discrimination. Except it works out for the females...
I have a feeling Dr. Awsam Wasfi who's in charge of helping ex gays in Egypt will be doing more than that...More like helping them all the way through to his bedroom...

Just like the "conservation of whales and dolphins" in Japan I think hunting the polar bears is an still an excuse for rich americans to get their rocks off shooting wild animals...no conservation here.

Let's hope that Lourdes has NOT inherited her mother's "acting" skills...or her father's...what is it that he does again?

No wonder Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is out of control now. Imagine having to be famous and out there and having to go through grief for all to see. I don't see how Martha did it with her mother dying this week, but then again, she's not human ;)
What I've always thought...Bush = Hitler.
And how much does Lourdes look like her father now? She used to look just like her mother when she was younger. Now it's scary how she looks like Carlos. Rocco also is mini-me for Guy.

Good Ole O, always reminding her worshipers how to keep the Cristal in Christmas!
We doubt Lance needed to check his Bloomingdale's list twice to make certain a certain fool's gold gold digger is still on it because Fly Girl has been very naughty, what with threatening to sue his ex Sugar Pop and decking the myspace halls with lots of blah blah blah. If you blinked you missed:

Star Magazine and The National Enquirer (Reichen) Lawyer Articles
In response to all of the MySpace email I am receiving surrounding this matter…
Please do not take literally the stories running this week in these particular magazines about me and my ex-relationship. No one is suing anyone, and all is well.
I chose to NOT fight back against the slander, fed to the media by my ex-relationship, by using my own gift of a voice in the media, as a way to air my own many and very strong personal feelings about my past relationship.
Instead, my representation, in an act of concern, simply sent an appropriate letter to those responsible, asking that attempts to paint me in a negative light with blatant and unnecessary lies and deceit, please stop. It ends there. Nothing else is happening.
The request is simple. It is my wish that my ex-relationship discontinue referring to me in the media in association with expressing his personal feelings about me, that he discontinue attacking my current relationship(s) in the print-media and, more than anything, that all events, including the drama surrounding them, from that year of my life, simply go away. I choose to no longer pay attention to it.
These and various previous slanderous remarks about me are invalid, false, and meant for damage, and are being used in an attempt to sway public opinion in the favor of another’s image in an unfair way. I prefer to no longer be a part of these attemps. I prefer to be removed from any such plan to promote another.
For my own peace of mind, this is a time that I would like to forget ever happened.
The relationship in question, and the drama that surrounded it, destroyed much of what I have worked to accomplish and stand for, what I’ve worked to be associated with, and how I am viewed as an individual. I could have never imagined the severity of damage such a relationship would inflict on me and those around me. It is up to me to ask that efforts to continue this type of negative impact on my life discontinue, which is what I have done, through my representation.
My final wish, surrounding this matter, from an overall outside perspective, is that I am no longer associated with this ex-relationship or the people involved in prolonging its existence, and that I’m no longer associated with that time of my life, in general. I do, however, continue to wish all those involved–the very best in their own lives, away from mine.
I stood as my own person before all of it (when I was not considered “so-and-so’s boyfriend”), and will be much happier to be considered, and to consider myself, someone who stands on his own, once again.
Thank you,
-Reichen”

Wow, it seems that male polar bears, like male humans, are considered of little worth and expendable.

I didn't see anything about Reichen or Chip in the above stories. Did I just overlook it?
If not, why are they being brought up out of the blue?

He was said to be fond of internet recently. Some of his female fans found him on a millionaire&celebs dating club www.meetrich.com. He has a personal account there with his handsome pictures, blog ...In his friend circle, some other stars can be found there. It's said that many hot girls join in his circle. One of girls there said that they often joked, even flirt with each other.

"there are people in countries without the money and medicine to ensure a healthy life with HIV who would love to come here, park and attempt to have their illness treated..."
Dan, why in the world would anyone come to the US for medical treatment when they could go to dozens of other countries without an HIV ban and with better, FREE health care? Your argument makes no sense and does not hold water.
