Dennis Kucinich Tells Supporters: Vote Obama!

Conceding that his support may not be enough for him to make it in the Democratic race, Dennis Kucinich urged his supporters to vote for Barack Obama as choice #2.

KucinichSaid Kucinich in a statement: "I hope Iowans will caucus for me as their first choice this Thursday, because of my singular positions on the war, on health care, and trade. This is an opportunity for people to stand up for themselves. But in those caucus locations where my support doesn't reach the necessary threshold, I strongly encourage all of my supporters to make Barack Obama their second choice. Sen. Obama and I have one thing in common: Change."

Obama told reporters that he had spoken with Kucinich: "He and I have been fighting for a number of the same priorities."

And in honor of Kucinich, here's the latest viral UFO video that is circulating on the web. Again, likely some beautiful CGI, but cool nonetheless.

  1. Very disappointing. But then all porfessional Politics is disappointing (at best.)

  3. very surprised. and disappointed. this is enough to persuade me to give Obama another look, but i don't think i can give him my support unless he becomes the nominee. we just disagree on too much.

i'm surprised that, of the three big names, Kucinich didn't pick Edwards (like Nader just did). he seems to be the most progressive (and honest, and positive) out of the three. i'm curious how Edwards's new iraq stance will play now that there's been extensive media coverage of how the surge halfway "worked" (if by "worked" one means, "accomplished none of its stated goals," but still...).

  4. Yeah, he's right, that is some very good CGI in that video. It's seamless. It's getting harder and harder to determine what's real anymore.

  5. Edwards...positive? Are we watching the same process? He is the most negative candidate out there, Democratic or Republican. I really think his campaign believes that as long as Elizabeth is there, people won't see him for the bastion of negativity he is.

I hope Obama loves the bump of two caucus voters that Kucinich just threw his way. Of course, if they're abducted by aliens, then it won't net much. :-D
