Love this show and he is one hot man. Unfortunately, Seanon 1 only started this summer on Canadian tv and we still have a couple of episodes to go yet while on another station Seanson 2 has started.

The handsome Mr. Hamm did many theatre productions here at the University of Missouri (where I'm doing my graduate work).
By all reports he was considerate, friendly and very down to earth. Nice to see success can come to a "nice guy."

It's a brilliant, brilliant show, but almost everyone on it is a cold-hearted bastard or bitch and very unhappy. If you have the fortitude, it will reward you handsomely.
I look at these pics and am reminded of that Bruce Springsteen lyric/request to "wrap your hands 'round my engines."

He goes bare-chested in a scene towards the beginning of Season 1, and i have to thank him for not having the perfect gym body every actor has. He's still hunky but he has regular muscles, no huge arms and a kind of stooped posture.
Anyway, it makes him hotter in my book.

Give it another chance - it's probably the best written show on televison right now though admittedly it can be a little harsh.

Even if Hamm weren't hot and often bulging in those tight 60s pants, it's a great if often painful-to-watch show because it so well documents what the last days of full-blown, totally accepted, even EXPECTED sexism [and racism and antiSemitism and homophobia] were like in the U.S.
Younger women, the kind who so easily accepted the resurrection of demeaning words like "chicks," particularly need to see it to better appreciate how relatively great they have it now thanks to the women who finally said, "Enough of this fucking bullshit" and insisted that they no longer be treated like little more than walking, brainless semen depositories.
And a lot of younger gay men who throw their legs in the air on Towleroad and defend various entertainers and athletes and advertising companies who drop the F-bomb or makes gays into jokes might see themselves in the meek, self-loathing women on the show who are used like cum rags by most of its men.

One of the best on TV. Does not insult your intelligence. The feel of the show is something to get used to as it so different, but a amazing show.

Best show on television. In fact, I'd say best show of the past decade. John Hamm is maybe the hottest thing I've seen in my adult lifetime - and yeah, his non-gym toned physique and natural, manly posture is part of what makes him so incredibly fucking hot.
Well, that and the fact he comes across as smarter than 99.9% of the actors in Hollywood - not that it's hard to be smarter than most of the actors in Hollywood.

"Mad Men" is REALLY REALLY good. One of the best shows on TV since "The Sopranos." And Joe Hamm is one hot ass man. There's a scene in Season 2 where some interesting things happen that involve his fingers and a crotch! Pretty hot, people. You think he's hot in just these pics?

Hamm is a pretty riveting actor. Every once in a while, they turn out a show in which the writing, the casting, the design, all just work together beautifully. I cannot imagine another Don Draper. Or Peggy Olson. Or Bobbie Barrett. These characters, this show, just get under my skin. There have been scenes on that show to rival some of the great theater of all time...Arthur Miller, Tennesee Williams, Inge. It's a fascinating series, and I'm grateful for it.
