John Edwards Won't Be Attending the Democratic Convention
The Washington Post's 'Sleuth' reports:
"Unequivocally, he is not going to Denver," says Jonathan Prince, who served as deputy chief of staff on the Edwards 2008 presidential campaign. Despite his humiliating confessional earlier this month, Edwards still hoped to appear behind the scenes at the convention to help Bono's poverty-fighting One Campaign, sources tell the Sleuth. Edwards, as recently as last week, according to knowledgeable sources, still expressed interest in participating in a One Campaign convention event on Tuesday of next week to assemble supply kits for AIDS caregivers around the world. Which, to put it mildly, would have been awkward...A source close to Edwards tells the Sleuth that rather than go to Denver to help Bono end poverty, 'what [Edwards] really wants to do right now is concentrate on his family.'"
Meanwhile, the National Enquirer, emboldened by its outing the story, continues the onslaught...

oh girl, please... you just know he got the orders to stay away and not get anywhere near the convention... the inquirer promises more scandal... and yes, the baby is his...

Once word gets out that he flew his lady and his baby outta town on a private jet, he won't be able to face all the global warming zealots at the convention anyway.
I really do hope that Katie Couric is there to interview Bono about how he's saving the world. I'd be interested to hear how much money he's personally given towards it...and it would be cool to see so many Courics in one place.

"...concentrate on his family..."
Ha! That's rich! If he had done that in the first place...
Can the NE work their magic on McCain? No doubt each candidate is waterboarding their potential VP picks to see if there are any skeletons in the closet.

DC, I'll say this for the Democrats, they walk the walk and talk the talk! At least when their "straight" married men fool around, they keep it to the opposite sex. Let's light a cigar to celebrate!
I have yet to hear of a GOP sex scandal that did not involve covert man-on-man action. God-fearing, gay-hating Christians, one and all.
As for Edwards... I did not like him from the first time I heard of him. Just came across as too much of a snake. I hope he fades away for a good while.

"Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes back to the beginning of time, and I think a marriage is as a marriage always has been, between a man and a woman." - Hillary Clinton
"I believe in full equality of benefits, nothing left out. From my perspective there is a greater likelihood of us getting to that point in civil unions or domestic partnerships and that is my very considered assessment." - Hillary Clinton
"...That's why I am a strong supporter not of a weak version of civil unions, but of a strong version, in which the rights that are conferred at the federal level to persons who are part of the same sex union are compatible.
When it comes to federal rights, the over 1,100 rights that right now are not being given to same sex couples, I think that's unacceptable, and as president of the United States, I am going to fight hard to make sure that those rights are available." -Barack Obama
They're the same DAVEY. Now isn't their some "party" you should be attending?

Michael, how many times has he said he doesn't support gay marriage, yet you believe this one quote? Genius.

Michael is an idiot, no need to go too deep into that one.
Also, if Hillary were the nominee NOW she would have pounced on McCain weeks ago and we would be 20 points ahead in the polls but alas...

Dave and Shane:
When challenged on your warped points with similar Clinton gay marriage opposition quotes you prove yourselves to be more Republican in nature, in denial. Obama doesn't believe in gay marriage. Hell, Clinton doesn't either. But go ahead and forget the original point, that was off tangent considering this post is about Edwards not Obama, and throw out some make believe comment that Clinton would be trouncing on McCain while neglecting the fact that she lost the Democratic primary and if she couldn't accomplish winning the nomination she very well wouldn't be able to beat anyone by 20 percentage points. She lost deal with it.
