Tragic NYPD Taser Story Has Horrible Coda
The other day I posted a link to the story about the NYPD cop who tasered a chemically-imbalanced naked man on a ledge, who then fell to his death. The sad coda to that story is that the lieutenant who ordered the officer to use the taser committed suicide this morning.

This is tragic. Tragedy begets tragedy. My heart goes out to both families.

Instead of the facing the impending justice for his inappropriate command and poor leadership he chose to be a total selfish coward and kill himself.
I feel nothing for this guy. His decision to have someone standing on an awning, who was known to be mentally unstable, tasered directly led to that person falling on his head and his almost immediate death-all in front of his poor mother and neighbors.
I have compassion for the family he left behind but for him...good riddance one less cop who thinks he is above the law.
He is a total coward in my book.
