New York: Gay 'Zines Having Their Moment
New York magazine reports on the explosion of gay-related 'zines, crediting Amsterdam-originated and New York-published literary yet filthy Butt magazine for the current phenomenon.

Hope it's for more than a "moment." Ironic how these are flourishing creatively while the mainstream gay magazines are shadows of their former selves.

Thanks for posting this! Though not a zine, they should have included Towleroad...the best place for queer news, culture and hot men. I haven't looked at "mainstream" queer press in years, thanks to Towleroad, Butt, and some of the others here.

I went on a date last year with that guy on the left. Didn't get to see him naked though, I guess I'll have to buy the next issue of Pinups to see what I was missing.
