The 'Single Ladies' Take You Probably Haven't Seen Yet

I didn't think I could be impressed with another take on this, but it's the first all-male trio I've seen hit it right. Here's a new take on Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" by Purple Haze, who consist of Darius Crenshaw, Grasan Kingsberry, and Brian Brooks.
Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

Loses half a point for occasional lip-syncing. Otherwise, pretty damn perfect.

I wonder how much the choreographer who created the dance was paid? Hopefully, that person will be rewarded and recognized for her/his work.

It is NOT an easy dance to do.
They did a very good job on it.

I actually enjoyed that more than the original.
Also, their outfits are perfection. I want.

These guys are great, better than the original.. and did this in one take, I think Beyonce's video is jump cut.

i saw this yesterday on facebook and watched it many times. it was a great choice to do this dressed and styled like they are. (Nothing wrong w/ the drag-y versions i've seen, but it is a nice change to see it this way too).
i also love the additional choreography they added here.
It's kind of amazing to think that even Beyonce's version was a copy of Gwen Verdon's "Mexian Breakfast" performance.

I think they are performers in the National Tour of The Color Purple--because that is the set and costumes. FIERCE!

Far better than Beyonce, but, then again, she probaly got it from the children in the clubs anyway.

Noah, most of the credit belongs to Gwen Verdon.

Like the outfit choice, it really shows their ASSEtS in a nice bubbly way.

I had the pleasure of watching this live a few times at Therapy for Cattle Call on Weds... I'm there every week and I've never seen the crowd go SO crazy as the first time they performed this.
Super talented guys!!

I believe the answer to Noah's question above is Bob Fosse.

i am delighted by the fact that in the lastdecade, and particularly since SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE went ballistic internationally as well as here, dancers, choreography, and the choreographers have received so much attention at so many levels. dance will profit immeasurably from all the talent that will rise to visibility and public acclaim.
i personally can't get enough of it.

Wow, I loved it. I am getting sick of the song but I was thoroughly impressed with these guys. They rock. And, they did it all in one take just like Shane Mercado - take that Beyonce!

I'm so glad I'm not the only geek that noticed they were on the set of The Color Purple and in the costumes. :)
