Dolphins Rescued on Cape Cod

As a former winter resident of Cape Cod, I'm always interested in what's going on up there off-season.

Yesterday, there was a dolphin stranding in Wellfleet harbor. The three dolphins in these photos were rescued and released at Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown. A Minke whale that was swimming around in Wellfleet harbor was apparently coaxed out to sea as well.

Watch a video of the rescue, AFTER THE JUMP...

Also, protect whales from Bush's final salvo.

  1. Dolphins are beautiful. They are also gay-friendly, but I read an article a couple of years ago that said that they can be sexually aggressive...if they really like you.

  3. Porpoises are such wonderful, intelligent creatures (as are whales). So glad to see the efforts to save these three. I'll look for them when we visit P-Town for vacation in June!

  4. hard to watch...these people are good people but are moving at the slowest pace....and seem to be moving in no heart is bleeding watching them suffer...ugh...I guess they know what their doing but why didn't the first guy just slide them out to sea when he could....just hate to watch them suffer while they gather information....wish they'd have moved a heck of a lot faster and more systematically....
