  1. Russell Brand got a new gig?

    There's hope for anyone.

  2. Bravo for the Lebanese! Israel is far ahead in the arena of GLBT rights and equality. This is a great leap forward for the Arab world.

  3. Hate me if you want, but I have to ask:

Did Harris bring Ellen A CONSCIENCE, too?

Like the one that seemed to be missing during the Prop 8 fight when, after campaigning hard to save CA's duckies and horsies, she FINALLY reached into her men's pants and pulled out only $100k to fight H8TE....yes, that's pocket change to someone worth over $70 MILLION, and inexcusable in any case as it's the same amount STRAIGHT Brad Pitt and Steven Spielberg gave and $400,000 LESS than STRAIGHT Steven Bing gave.

She should be ashamed and she should be shunned.

  5. The "chicken amendment" was the brainchild of a gay man. Ellen was merely jumping on the bandwagon of misplaced priorities. But I do think it is telling so many of us cared a lot more about saving our feathered friends from KFC than our own civil rights. Although it is probably not too surprising given our MO of endorsing quirky pet projects at the expense of everything else. We're perhaps the most disorganized social movement ever.

I won't fault Ellen too much for her animal loving ways though. The general ineptitude of the anti Prop. 8 campaign means it wouldn't have mattered if they had 100 million dollars. They had more money than the other side and still got absolutely destroyed in advertising. I heard absolutely nothing but gay bashing before the election. It was as if one side of the debate didn't even bother to show up.
