Carrie Prejean Opposes Gay Marriage But Parties with Transsexuals

Miss California Carrie Prejean and New York nightlife icon Amanda Lepore party it up, via US magazine.

Over the weekend, Prejean said that her state sponsors "urged her to apologize" for saying same-sex couples shouldn't be allowed to marry but she refused.

"Prejean, 21, said officials from the Miss California USA pageant were worried that her comments would cost their contest financial backing and tried to prepare her for a string of post-pageant media interviews by discouraging her from discussing her religious beliefs. ''You need to apologize to the gay community. You need to not talk about your faith. This has everything to do with you representing California and saving the brand,'' Prejean recalled being told. 'I was representing California. I was representing the majority of people in California.' She offered her version of the tense hours following the April 19 Miss USA pageant while appearing at the San Diego megachurch that has helped shape her views."

She received a hero's welcome there.

Lewis Keith Lewis, producer of the Miss USA Pageant, released a statement: "Given the fact that Carrie Prejean's first act upon returning to California was to headline five services at a church that promotes homosexuality as both unnatural and abnormal, we stand by our concern for her individual image and look forward to a time in the near future when she can put down her personal agenda and assume the responsibilities associated with being Miss California USA including promoting our official platform 'The Beauty of California' which sole purpose is to embrace diversity."

It should be noted that Lewis also served as executive producer on For the Bible Tells Me So, the award-winning documentary about the divide between gays and Christianity, about people of faith and their gay children.

  1. Oh I see we have our Troll of the Day, Carl. And of course Paul still beating the Obama bashing stick.

  2. Ugh!
This would only be boggling to people of the "you're either with me, or against me mentality." The juvenile mentality is wholly uncapable of grasping of liking someone personally, while disagreeing with their goals politically.
Who are really the dumb bitches here with IQ's of 30?

  3. "It's amazing how in denial you people really are about who you elected. But it's always more fun to tear women up anyhow, so go back to what you little misogynists do around here."

Where's the denial? It's not like it was a secret that Obama doesn't support full marriage equality. He's wrong on that and right on a lot of other issues "us people" believe in. (Miss CA is a bimbo who thought we can choose between same-sex and opposite marriage, whatever that means. Comparisons are sillier than the Miss USA pageant itself.)

The broken-record Obama bashers act as if there were a better alternative on gay rights in the previous election, one we somehow overlooked--who was that candidate? Hillary? Huckabee? McCain? Palin? It's quite possible to support Obama's presidency while recognizing his faults--it's called reality. Meanwhile, Miss CA might want to work on putting together sentences that actually make sense.

  4. One thing too to point out Ernie. Barack and Joe were on record against Prop 8. But don't get me started what a cluster fuck the No on 8 camp was.

  5. Simply put, Carrie Pra-line is a hypocritical cunt.

  6. The narcissist is a clever deceiver. He or she cannot be straight or truthful. His focus is getting what he wants and winning. The narcissist’s deceitfulness is an indelible part of his personality structure. These clever, smooth, seamless lies are the result of his lack of conscience. Lies roll off his tongue like butter on hot bread without shame or regret. A lie here, a deception there — mean nothing to him.

With his gold minted self confidence, contagious appeal and personal magnetism, we find ourselves gravitating to him. When a gifted narcissist zeros in on you, he makes you feel like the most important person on the face of the earth. The narcissist is expertly tapping into those parts of us that crave attention and long to feel special.

What most of us don’t understand is that this perfectly rehearsed act is the narcissist’s deceptive game. The narcissist always has a plan, a role he has chosen for you to play. You have something that the narcissist wants and he is going after it at full speed.

The first step in thwarting the narcissist’s plan to deceive and control you, begins with your understanding how he operates. The narcissist’s deceptions are designed to meet his psychological needs.

Learning to be truthful with yourself, assessing your strengths and weaknesses, and using your unique gifts, arms you with the transparency and self empowerment to emotionally detach from the narcissist. Now you see him as he actually is: a psychologically impoverished individual: shallow and empty. You move forward, committed to your psychological, creative, and spiritual growth.

  7. Leave her alone. She's like...what? A 22-year-old? Probably hasn't even fully formulated her own opinions on things yet. I certainly said things at that age I've done reverses on.

  9. She is smoking hot! Look at the beautiful black dress, those eyes, the blonde hair, such beauty ... meanwhile, who is the girl on the right?

  10. @JT - Eat me.

  11. @ Valerie - What the fuck are talking about?

  12. It's lovely that you have this loser -- from a beauty pageant -- to focus all of your hostility and energies upon...but she's a loser -- from a beauty pageant.

    She's irrelevant.

Take a fraction of that energy and focus it on pressuring Obama to stand up for equal rights for gays, and you might actually be able to make a difference in the world.

Stop fucking making excuses for Obama and hold him accountable! He's the goddamned President!!

Or do the uncle Tom routine and say that you're happy with whatever little bone he decides to throw your way.

    Pathetic.

  13. Btw - it's also ludicrous when people point out that Obama said he wasn't for Prop 8...as if that negates his opposition to same sex marriage. It doesn't. It's akin to when the fundie televangelists say "Hate the sinner, not the sin".

All of their followers hate the "sinners" anyway...and all of Obama's followers went out and voted for prop 8 anyway. In spite of his half-hearted disagreement with it.

Don't make a law AGAINST gay marriage...but don't make it legal either. It's the same end result, suckers.

Now go back to bashing the Mormons 2.0, aka failed beauty pageant contestant Prejean. They're the ones who are setting the tone and course for the nation anyhow, right?

  14. @Paul C

The only PATHETIC fucker here is YOU!!!

Other than those arrogant,White,right-wingnut neo-conservative nazi republicans.YOU and other ignorant queens like you consistently hate on President Barack Obama.I guess you dumbasses would have rather had John McCain and Sarah Palin in the white house.Im starting to think Many WHITE gay men over 35 share many of the same LOG CABIN VIEWS.

  15. @Sean - That's right, Sean. Tell the president he can do no wrong, he is wonderful and can walk on water. That's what the republicans did with Bush for the last eight years and that worked out just great, didn't it?

    Get a brain cell, moron.

  16. Hey we all have straight friends right. Should we really be so pissy when someone says they don't "agree" with the "lifestyle"? It's her opinion. Let her have it. Perez called he a Cu-t and a bit-h among other things and no one is talking about that. I like to be the devils advociate when I can. Should Perez ask a question if he can't handle the answer? He totally over reacted but no one is talking about that.

  17. I don't want Carrie Prewash to apologize, I just want her to go to hell.......

  18. The good news is this young woman's remarks have inspired people around the world to rally around gay rights. She's inspirational, and not in a way she ever dreamed! She's a modern day Anita Bryant and she'll become a punchline just like Anita Bryant.

  19. @Sean - I like the way you threw in the racial element to my opposition to someone who is against my having equal rights. It lent you a real sense of credibility.

I won't even mention the ageist & homophobic angles you spewed.

    Oops. I just did.

    You are one classy dude.

  20. ``She did state her feelings eloquently or knowledgeably. ``
James, I`m not sure if this was a typo and you meant to say ``did NOT.``
So many watchers didn`t seem to notice that she basically said I`m paraphrasing}:
``I`m glad that in my country, citizens have the right to marry no matter what their sex but in my country I want people to marry opposite sex.``
It wasn`t eloquent or informed. It sounded like her country was Canada in the first half of a sentence and the USA in the second... or maybe that she would support the right of everyone to marry but wouldn`t like it in her own family... or what really did she mean, Iit was impossible to decipher.

  21. How does "dumb bitch" or "cunt" differ from "stupid faggot" or "homo"? Come on people!

    Posted by: Giovanni | Apr 28, 2009 7:46:02 PM

  22. Paul C puh-lease girlfriend, and do you have any alternatives other than working with the President and Congress right now.

Tell me you would have rather had McPain and the Wasilla cunt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all happy with the way Obama has handled LGBT issues either. And I attribute the anger of the gay community less to racism (though I think that has a little bit to do with it) and more to the way Bill Clinton shoved the gay community under the bus.

Which is why I do agree with you that we do need to keep the heat on Obama and Pelosi and Reid and hold their feet to the fire. Remember, Obama can do little more than use the bully pulpit until Pelosi and Reid get the legislation to his desk. Obama cannot do it alone.

  23. She's the spitting image of a young Anita Bryant and just as much of an idiot (Prejean that is, not Amanda). Amanda just needs to stay away from very hot lights or she's likely to melt.

    Posted by: Matty | Apr 28, 2009 9:03:15 PM

  24. Giovanni, it doesn't, except that one is sexist and one is homophobic.

    Posted by: Blurgle | Apr 28, 2009 9:18:39 PM

  25. Paul C you fcked up moron, As far as I remember Obama came out against the hateful republican led prop 8 and this Carrie witch worked with one of the most homophobic churches in the state against it. So while your comparison might make the drug addict Rush chuckle it certainly is not a factual statement.
