'Pro-Family' Fear-Mongering Zombies Release Gay Marriage Scare Ad

Is this the trailer for the Twilight sequel? The National Organization for Marriage's fear-mongering zombies have risen from their graves because same-sex marriage is taking over the country, apparently. This new ad, complete with storm clouds and lightning bolts, has gone national.

What a joke. These people obviously have no idea what love, or truth, is.

Watch them try to use the rainbow against us, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Who cares? The average American doesn't buy into such silliness.

  2. Night of the Living Dead. Indeed a storm is coming. The death of religions persecuting others! Yay!!!! How desperate this ad is. Comes off as a Saturday Night Live parody.

  3. I saw no content in that video other than a series of speaking rectums. So now I have to go and find out where else that trash is being played other than on YouTube.

  4. a rainbow coalition? really?

  5. Really, really pathetic...and actively dishonest about the issues facing doctors and religious institutions who operate secular businesses in states with anti-discrimination laws. SHAME.

  6. The desperation is palpable in this "ad". Lies are what these people's campaign was built on, and it is all they have to work with. The future is with us, we will just have to do our best to counter these lies along the way to speed up the process.

  7. What's to be said about this ad? We knew it was coming! However, the train has left the station and they have already lost the war.

  8. Why is a group called "coalition for marriage" fighting AGAINST marriage.

What next- The National Wildlife Federation being against wildlife?

  9. I can't wait to see the parody ads.

  10. "NOM NOM NOM!"

The sound an ignorant fat baby makes when its joking down little debbie cakes in the nursery at the mega church.

  11. Ok, so this is obviously ridiculous. But isn't ads like this what helped Prop 8 pass? Little dumb things like this can go a long way if people aren't careful. This is ridiculous, yet unfortunately very powerful. I hope we don't just turn the other cheek to this stuff, we need to fight back.

  12. The only thing missing is a sound track, may I suggest Mad World.

  13. Why aren't we fighting these ads with parodies of them? They are so ridiculous. They beg to be parodied with each of the characters explaining how they are bigots and why they shouldn't be curtailed from discriminating against others with their bigotry.

  14. wow. all i can do is laugh.

  15. I think the doctor bitch should explain how she does not want to be forced to care for Jews or Catholics either -- it'd be against her faith, her precious precious faith!

  16. I count at least 3 "gay Men" in the video, if anyone can out these folks let do it!! Seems that they sold their souls and community for a few bucks and few moments of fame!!!

  17. It is really is time to take back the word "family"

  18. This stuff actually helps the marriage equality cause. Rational people laugh at garbage propaganda like this. The doomsday air gives it a sci-fi patina that mocks itself.

  19. Maggie Gallagher, the 'president' of NOM is a divorced, former single mother. She is one of the greatest hypocrites this country has ever produced (and that's saying something).

I think we need to make an add it Vermont, or Iowa showing that people are still doing everything today they did last week, the sky is not falling and it isn't going to. It's easy to understand that it makes no difference when people see it. Let's show them.

  20. How sad it is when a Doctor doesn't want to help someone just because they don't believe in the Doctors religious beliefs. I thought Doctors went into that business because they wanted to help people.

  21. WTF? How on earth do Gays getting married intrude on these people's lives? It's actually the other way around, you dolts.

Wait, why am I even wasting my breath on this SNL skit wannabe?

  22. Andy I'm shocked you would call this a "Joke". It's not joke. They have used this dooms day tactic in 39 states to alter constitutions to deny CIVIL MARRIAGE EQUALITY. These tactics work, they are NO JOKE.

EVERYONE did you notice the WORDS they use? DID YOU? "Same-Sex Marriage" and "Gay Marriage". I have been screaming from the roof tops that these terms are bombs that the Radical Religious Extremists keep throwing at Gay America to good effect. What do Gay bloggers (Andy) and Leaders do? They use those same bombs, simply building the fear and hate that the Radical Religious Extremists are creating. NOT ONCE DID THAT PSA USE THE TERM "CIVIL MARRIAGE" NOR "MARRIAGE EQUALITY". They know that using those words would show what this fight is over, EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW.

It's time for Towleroad and ALL Gay activists, bloggers, and others to start using the terms Civil Marriage Equality or Marriage or Marriage Equality. Take back the discussion. 39 states ban Civil Marriage Equality. These ads are working, they are no Joke.

  23. I never use the term "gay marriage". There's no such thing. It's "marriage" period and "marriage equality" is our right.

  24. Can I just say "suck tit sweat, cunt" in response to the fearful moms and the other wingnuts in this video who think their freedom was ripped away?

This is what their money pays for. Ridiculous.

  25. Most States ban Civil Unions or even just Hospital Visitation ON ADS LIKE THIS people, this isn't hurting their cause.
