Boy George Released from Prison for Good Behavior
After serving just four months of a 15-month prison sentence for false imprisonment of escort Audun Carlsen, Boy George was released from prison today looking happy, health, and slimmer, the Daily Mail reports:
"Not only had the singer grown a goatee, he had his sparkle back in his eyes compared to his glum appearance of a man contemplating life behind bars earlier this year. The former Culture Club frontman was jailed on January 16... After initially being sent to Pentonville Prison in North London, O'Dowd was later transferred to Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk, where he remained until his release this morning. Dressed in a black zip-up top, the bald singer smiled and saluted photographers as he experienced freedom for the first time in months."
George will be monitored via an ankle bracelet and curfew.

Atta Girl!
She's a changed man, I tell you!

Indeed, it was *so* wonderful to see his pre-drug habit eyes return! His eyes were always (and still are) his best facial feature. I hope beyond hope he stays off the drugs, he's still viable in so many ways if he does.

And he is a vegeterian too. I hope he stays of the carbs.
Time to be slim withtout the use of drugs.
I wish him well.

I'm glad he's doing well, but I'm curious: is serving 4 months of a 15-month sentence common in the British justice system? I realize he behaved well and will continue to be monitored, but it still seems quite lenient.
Maybe his celebrity was a hassle for the prison.

What makes you think he's changed? I've heard that before, and he always goes back to his drugging and nasty ways.
How is he viable? He hasn't had a hit in years. The only way he gets publicity is bad mouthing Madonna, George Michael and Elton John. I'm sure he'll be back to that soon. Plus, his once great voice is shot to hell.
I find him to be one of the world's most overhyped artists. Aren't they any better artists to represent us as a community?
