Boy George Makes Out with a (Gasp) Member of the Opposite Sex
Boy George was spotted kissing a woman yesterday so the tabloids have lost their lunches and question whether he's turning straight. Soon he'll be back to chaining up escorts and everything will be just fine again.

What's the big deal, he said he was bisexual years ago.

If she can manage to get him to put the pipe down, I'm all for it. Maybe George Michael needs a little of that too.

Good gawd, is he fuck-ugly. No wonder he's back to the vagina, no self-respecting gay man would be seen with him, much less locking lips.
Just how can a man let himself go to such an extent? Drugs? Forget "this is your brain on drugs," just post a picture of the "boy" and you'll put Columbia out of business in a week.

lostboy68 is absolutely correct. George O'Dowd comfirmed his bisexuality to Barbara Walters years ago. Shocking? No. Vomit inducing? Yes.

Oh please! People don't "turn straight" any more than they "turn gay". There are billions of pics of Boy George smooching girls, as far back as "When Cameras Go Crazy" back in 1983. Deal!

Has anyone thought that maybe - just MAYBE - this is a capture of a quick, good-bye kiss? A friendly one?
Not all kisses are sexual, you know.

Quick ragging on the guys looks. Yes, he's got some major problems, but he was pretty brave in a very public way years ago. Give the guy a break and hope he gets his life together.
We all age, some better than others in the looks dept. Is that the most important thing?

wouldn't be the first person who got sober and realized he was shagging the wrong sex... drugs can lead you to disturbing places that have nothing to do with your true identity... many gays get sober and realize they should be with women and vice versa... trying to be straight when you are gay usually means you have to take a lot of drugs just to get by... believe me!

thoughtful stuff, david b. 2. speaking as someone who used to do a lot of drugs, i've seen a few vice versas running around out there, numbing their identities. also, i think this is a hello/goodbye kiss--not a dna swapper.
love the site--i read it all the time!

Thank you for those most illuminating comments, John.
How dare George have the indecency to age imperfectly in public! The very nerve.
Clearly, he needed to become a big muscle mary and wear A&F in a desperate attempt to look twenty, just like every other fortysomething mo, am I correct?
*eyeroll*
Personally, I feel very sad, because despite all his fame and fortune, he's a broken person, and he hasn't found happiness.

You know, I came out in the 1980's, and Boy George was quite influential in my decision to be honest (both with myself and with others) as an openly gay person.
It wasnt easy being out of the closet back then, and George's work (even if it was nothing more than pop music) really did open a lot of people up to the idea that gays were far more numerous, pervasive and HUMAN than they might otherwise think.
And he was so great at handeling the public's reaction to his drag (and lets face it, back then he had a very slick and unique drag-style.) His welcoming charm, transporting music and unassuming candidness seemed to ameliorate much of the ugly prejudices that otherwise would be aimed at him, ...or at any of us for that matter, especially back then.
Furthermore, I cant think of any other queens at the time that were going on David Letterman or Barbara Walters, especially so flamboyantly... i dont think it would have happened at all, were it not for George's good nature breaking the way.
Additionally, he had world-wide acclaim, and was popular even in places that were prodominantly homophobic (for instance, in my own native country, India.) As such, he did a fair amount of "ambassadorial" work for gay people everywhere.
So whether you like it or not, George made it so much easier for the rest of us to exist as openly as we can now. And for that we do owe him.
I dont care how old he may be, I dont care if he's a switch-hitter (although I do feel badly that he freaked out on coke like that, but then again so did the last American president.... and I feel even worse that he wailed all over his escort...) all the same, Boy George will always be a very special person to me, ----far from perfect, yes, but someone who we as gay people do owe quite a fair amount to.

I wish George would turn straight. He would be doing all the gay men of the universe a big favor. That would be a true service to the gay community
He may have done good back in the 80's, but he turned out to be such a nasty bitch.
He's the first person to attack someone for how they look. So if people attack him now for being old and ugly, he's just getting back what he's always given out, Karma is a bitch, George.
