Ptown Diaries, Documentary on Provincetown, Set to Air
Ptown Diaries, a new documentary by Joseph Mantegna narrated by Alan Cumming about the history and people of Provincetown and featuring interviews with Michael Cunningham, Anne Packard, Norman Mailer and other Ptown personalities, is set to air on LOGO on July 25.
I haven't seen it but given my love for Ptown I'll be watching.
Watch the trailer, AFTER THE JUMP...

Damn I miss P-Town, it's been 10 years since I've been.
I've gone three times and had three different vacations (and I stayed in the same place every time!)
--romantic getaway with boyfriend
--drink my ass off partying with friends
--and of course, slut around.

I always get P-Town confused with Fire Island in terms of populated with professional homosexuals. Though I would never confuse it for Russian River (what a dump). Not sure I would want my kids (if I had them) exposed to drunk/stoned weenie wagers.

I'm going on my first trip to Ptown in August. Something called Carnival?

I live in Yarmouth Port, MA, about 55 minutes from PTown - Partner and I are there 4-5 times a month for dinner and to meet up with friends. Interested in watching the documentary.

I sure hope there will be pictures of Andy bartending at the Boatslip during the Golden (Boy) Age!

Ptown is so white and expensive, it's like the hampton... for the superset gays

My fave p-town moment ever? Two guys talking after doing it at the dick dock. One asks "So where do you work?" The other replies: "Prudential. So now you've had a piece of the rock."

Oh, I miss it so!
I used to work at the Boatslip two summers ago. Definitely a fun summer experience. I miss all the people there, the sights, the water...everything.

Love PTown, but they seem to have made the promo clip with only the party people. There's more do than fuck, drink and drug. Also they should've had Michael Cunningham narrate, it's hard to understand Alan Cummings. We're usually there most of the summer and throughout the rest of the year on the weekends. The East end is much more quiet than what you see in the clip

@This is kinda a good thing:
Haha! I was just going to ask if there is any diversity in that town - Latins, Blacks, etc. I've never been there, so I guess I can't judge (in fact, until now I thought it was in Rhode Island someplace), but this trailer sure does not make me want to visit.

I lived in Ptown back in the 80's with some of my siblings. There's something about the location, the natural surroundings and the light that makes it a magical place. Even though it's gone way upmarket and the summer workers need three jobs to pay rent there in the summertime, P-town will hopefully not be spoiled by too many condominiums, development and other gentrification issues.

I absolutely love Ptown.
It is one of the most beautiful, relaxing, remote places I've been. There are so many things you can do. There's absolutely something for everyone.

I'm in P-town right now and I hate that I have to leave tomorrow. It is indeed a magical place.

Too bad the director leveled a cute little Cape Cod cottage to build a 5,000+ sf house surrounded by those cute little quaint cottages he says he misses so much. :) oh- and yes it's for sale for 5 million. charming.
