OMG!!! Who at 45 sounds the same as they did at 25? And why should they? What's so wrong with the maturation of an artist's voice/medium/etc.? I think this track is extraordinary and subtle at the same time.

Whitney can song rings around 99% of female singers out there. And btw, I'm not a huge fan of hers. It just bothers me that moany little queens can't wait to talk shit. Get real.

Look, all of you who expect Whitney to walk out and sound like it's 1985 again are idiots. Sorry, but it's the truth. Whitney still sounds great. The rasp even adds to this song about her struggles. It shows more soul. This song tells a story. And besides, it's not a huge belting "I Will Always Love You" song. This is more along the lines of "Exhale" which was also a No. 1 hit and one of her greatest songs but much more restrained.

Let's drop the "she's not 25 anymore" line, most great vocalists were at their peak in their forties: she knew what she was doing and she made her choices.
There's no range anymore but that's still a powerful voice capable of great expression. I hope she concentrates on good writers and quality lyrics with something to say because pap will not do.

Yeah, her voice is different a little, but not unnaturally-sounding.
I love the song, and I'm so glad she can still scream. I'm still in love with her, and I think her voice sounds fine, great as always.

Although I wish her the best and hope she stays off the drugs, this is not a testament to her actual singing voice. Studio work can do WONDERS; just look at Britney Spears.

I can't believe some of the things that people are writing regarding Whitney on this blog. What did you guys expect the old Whitney? She's only human and not perfect.
