Obama-Hating Pastor: Every Homosexual is a Deviant, Evil Predator

On his radio show, Alan Colmes hosted Pastor Steven Anderson, who recently gave a sermon at Faithful Word Baptist Church in which he said, "When I go to bed at night Steven L. Anderson will pray for Barack Obama to die and go to hell."

Anderson Colmes asked the pastor about his views on gays, in particular a ranting sermon in which he attacks Congressman Barney Frank, confusing him with the late Congressman Gerry Studds.

Says Anderson: "I believe that every homosexual in the world is a deviant, is evil, and is a predator that is out to recruit others through molestation, through rape. It's in the news...I would keep my kids away from them. They're deviants. They're not normal. I am saying that [Barney Frank]'s perverted, and he's sick, and I would put him in the category of other homosexuals. Do I think that homosexuality should be against the law? Well, it's against God's law."

Anderson then goes on to quote Leviticus. He was challenged by a caller later in the show, according to the Phoenix New Times: "It really got rockin' towards the end when a gay fella called up and asked the pastor about the part in Leviticus that says you can kill your children if they "curse" you. Anderson had to admit this was true, and he seemed to sign on to this bit of dark, religious insanity as well. Ditto on the whole stoning adulterers thing, BTW. Though he thinks the government should do the stoning. You know, like they used to in Afghanistan n'stuff."

In related news, an armed protestor at a Phoenix Obama town hall event has been confirmed to be a parishioner of Anderson's. How long before one of these violence worshipers picks up his gun and uses it?

Listen to Anderson's interview and an interview with the gun-toting Baptist, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Gee...what a bunch of sick fucks. His wife is even more bat shit crazy than he is having glanced at her 'blog'. I feel deeply sorry for their children, they're being raised as the next Phelps clan.

  2. It's interesting that a preacher can say that ALL homosexuals are deviant/child molesters but because he's WHITE and "cute" some on this thread want to "bang" him.

On the other hand, if a black person had said the exact same thing many of you white gay men would be making racist comments. I can't help but note the discrepancy.

  3. Anybody know how many people he actually has in his "church"? The "Pastor" who attacked me turned out to have a grand total of 9 people in his "church".

I should have kicked his ass.

  4. Ignoring the Bible-trashers who have their own prejudices and agendas....

This guy scares me. Most haters will stutter and stammer when confronted with some of the other stuff in Leviticus, while this guy just says "sure, that's what it says" like it's another day in the park...

  5. To PASTOR ANDERSON and others at Faithful Word Baptist:

I believe you are sadly worshipping the Devil. You see, the Bible is Satan's screed. The fact is that the Bible itself promotes evil... according to the Bible's words, the most evil men in Biblical times were "God's" most beloved. Let's face it... Solomon had 700 wives and 300 whores/concubines... God LOVED Solomon... Is that what you want your children to aspire to? A 1,000 woman harem of moral depravity?

God loved Jacob, the deceitful liar and mammonist hungry for lucre... he lied to his father, connived with his mother, stole from his brother. Again, Jacob was much beloved by the Biblical "God". Do you want your children to act like Jacob, one of God's most beloved?!? C'mon! This book does NOT set a very good example.

It goes on and on. How about Lot? This monstrous man desired to freely give over his daughters to would-be rapists... Lot was considered by the so-called Biblical God to be a model citizen. God even saved Lot's life when Sodom was destroyed. Wow, he actually encouraged randy townsfolk to rape his young daughters and God LOVED him! Sounds like your Biblical God wouldn't have much of a problem abetting child sexual rape.

I can give example after example of the depravity of the Biblical God and his most beloved persons .... virtually all of them rogues.

And how about the idiotic and silly rules in the Bible --one of which says that it is an abomination to wear clothing made of more than one fiber type... look at the tag on the shirt you're wearing.... are you promoting an abomination to God by wearing a cotton-polyester blend --or some other combination of fibers? Satan is mocking you with these absurd rules of his!

And how about that evil and despicible passage in Matthew that says that in order to follow God you must shun your entire family... Do you think the genuine God would tell people that in order to serve God you must never have anything to do with your own family?? Think about it! Maybe you're worshipping the devil's word.... camouflaged as the Bible?

You think this "Bible" is the work of a righteous spirit? I think it is the work of pure evil. Honestly, I wouldn't want any of God's "most beloved" living in my neighborhood. They are depraved and morally bankrupt. In my view they are just bad, evil people.

I think that Satan has tricked people into thinking that the Bible is God's word when it is obviously an evil book containing an Agenda of Evil. Don't be deceived by Satan and his acolytes. I see an evil that eminates from the Bible like the stench that rises from a scourged, decomposing corpse.

Believe it! The Bible is an evil book. Consider its contents!

  7. At first I thought we had the next generation of the Westboro Baptist Church and Fred Phelps, but... ya know... I think we have the next Ted Haggard in the making. This guy seems to be one bubble-butt choir boy away from his meth lab and a weekend party.

Doth he protest a little TOO much... all of a sudden. I suspect he found his little pecker turning to wood over a male congregant, and it scared the Hell out of him.

  19. It always astounds me when, of all the things the crazies say, they claim that rape and molestation are ways of "recruiting" gays. It's just twisted and wrong on so many levels, and is more than a mild hint that they find gay sex a temptation so pleasurable that it must be avoided at all costs.

  20. "And every gay person that I've ever known personally has been a predator."

Well, now we know he's a sexual predator to boot. And the only one he knows is himself.

  21. Is it legal to say you want the president killed?

  22. The good Rev. Anderson is just a typical AWM. It isn't as if we haven't heard all this bitching and whining before. He's just saying - albeit in a slightly more offensive way - what John Gibson, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, and Bill O'Reilly have said many times before.

Blacks are getting all the good presidential jobs that's "rightfully" theirs. Gays are a threat to the continuance of the glorious race of brilliant, virile conquerors (or whatever). Typical.

  23. Oh, please, please, PLEASE dear god, give this man a show on Fox News as soon as possible! Oh, and a box of Kleenex® to reverend Fred Phelps, who will undoubtedly be distraught at his demotion to "runner-up" in the "Psychotic Clergyman of Christianity" competition.

  24. @DEREK WASHINGTON,
that's the thing. the demented phelps clan gets an inordinate amount of attention, even on this blog, irrespective of their teeny, tiny numbers. just like the screwballs at town-hall meetings. the so-called liberal media legitimizes those nut-jobs. "oh my god" they say, "people are up in arms". "let us pay attention!", they squeal. meanwhile, reasonable people are sitting at home mulling over the whys and wherefores of health coverage.
the liberal media are not liberal at all. they are led by the nose by sensationalism. objectivism is out the window. critical thinking is supplanted by fervor. the louder one talks, the more attention one gets. legitimacy can hold no ground when the madding crowd calls for the blood of complex or abstract thought.

i'm always aware of the dictum, "where ignorance is bliss 'tis folly to be wise". i suppose that we can succumb to the gentle lapping of the waves of ignorance and complacency massaging our temples dragging us out to sea. or, we can stand up and say, "no".

  25. Switch it from Christian right to pagan left and switch the president from Obama to Bush and you have similar things going on during hte last eight years. Sounds like Obama is making as many "friends" as Bush.
