In anticipation of next month's World Cup, Ivory Coast footballer Didier Drogba and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo cover the June edition of Vanity Fair, for which Annie Leibowitz stripped a bunch of international footballers down to their (designer) briefs.

One more shot and a video, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Ah, Cristiano makes any day better.

  2. Oh dear. Why does Landon Donovan (in the stars and stripes boxers) look so ridiculous in this photo spread? Perhaps it's a metaphor for USA's performance in the World Cup?

  3. Oh. My. Christiano has been working on those abs. And everything else.

And he's straight? Doesn't look it to me.

  7. Armani recently launched advertising for its underwear featuring Christiano. Suddenly, there he is on the cover of Vanity Fair
in his Armani underwear. Gentlemen, this is big time PR at work.

  8. I'm sorry, but Cristiano Ronaldo does absolutely nothing for me. He's got a hot body, but beyond that, I'm just not a fan.

  9. Seriously, this is SO gay. A bunch of dudes with overly worked bodies standing around in their undies while a lesbian shoots photos of them.

Yet they play in a sport where not one player in an entire league would come forth and publicly state that they are against discrimination towards people based on their sexuality.

    Fucking pussies.

  13. Cristiano's face looks a little like he's been doing too much meth. Though the rest of him not so much...

  16. I kind of prefer these guys to the American sports stars... and I think Christiano is definitely hot, but not my type. Incredible body all the same!

I'm surprised they're so bulky, actually... as someone who recently stopped playing soccer now in college, these guys are meatier than most soccer players.

  17. Makes me want a hot dog real bad!

  18. i thought drogba wasn't going to compete in international games after the AFCON incident?

  19. Cris has a great body, but face of a dumb ass. For the rest they all look cute.

The reason why Donovan was shot bending down was because his body isn't as good as the others.
