Watch: Rachel Maddow Clears the Smoke from the DADT Epic Fail

DADT_MADDOW

As you can imagine, Rachel Maddow had plenty to say last night on the DADT debacle.

Maddow nails Biden on a promise he said he made with lawmakers to get the DADT repeal votes, which he didn't get. She also goes after Republicans for obstruction.

In a segment she talks with Lawrence O'Donnell about what happened in the Senate, and in a third segment Nathaniel Frank, author of Unfriendly Fire, discusses the options that we have open to us now.

  1. Bravo Rachel. It is refreshing to see an intelligent, reasoned individual on television. Keep up the good fight as we are in for a helluva ride for the foreseeable future. The anti-intellectual
climate in this suffering country will stifle rational debate for a very long time.
Good luck to you. Many of us-tired of fighting for over 40 years for equal rights-are buoyed by reasoned arguments. May you not get as discouraged as so many of us.

  2. gays serving in the military now see they must stay in closet never having the ability to live their life openly. hiding their emmotions, loves, loses. they have two options one is to stay in the closet living the lies hiding themselves or large nmbers shold come out and then resign from the military. the large loss of manpower would be shocking to our slow moving government maybe some repuks would have to serve.lindsay graham is the only one who serves happily under DADT.the repuks are getting worse and more homophobic.

  3. I predict that this administration will defend DADT in the courts because to do otherwise would, further, expose them as hypocrites. To decline to defend DADT in the court would be an admission that they have no desire to end DOMA, which HAS been defended, repeatedly and hideously, by this administration's DOJ.
