Keith Olbermann

Olbermann To Return To MSNBC This Tuesday

Ko
Soon after after Keith Olbermann tweeted that he's alive and well, MSNBC announced late today that he will be back on the air in just a couple of days. The cable news network's president, Phil Griffin, feels as if the Countdown host has been punished enough:

"After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night."

Do we have Rachel Maddow to thank for this?

  2. It's good too have Keith Olbermann back, and I think he should have been punishment in the first place, even if he broke a rule in giving money to the Democratic Party!

  3. YEAH! We need strong partisans on the left to counter the trash that comes from Fox. I'm glad MSNBC saw fit to listen to its viewers.

  6. Doesn't this seem like it was all just a stunt?

  7. I wish MSNBC would swallow the bullet and just become the liberal alternative to Fox News. That's what everyone wants it to be.

  8. What has Keith Olbermann ever done for our rights? The man is a moron. I don't like him at all.

  9. Oh dear, Jason is seeking attention again. Shall we ignore him this time?

  10. Okay; Tuesday night. Will Keith be a Journalist and apologize for breaking the rules or a douche bag and scream unfair while holding his bosses to the same lacking standards at Fox?

  11. Watch for another 10-minute on-air tirade directed this time at his own bosses and MSNBC management. Rather than apologizing, he'll imply that management should be apologizing to him.

MSNBC continues to demonstrate it's evening Liberal-bias, and it's internal lack-of-backbone. The conservatives should just ignore or boycott appearing on MSNBC.

  12. Welcome back, Keith. It'll be good to have your counter balance to Faux News back on the air (and over the cable) starting tomorrow night!

  13. MSNBC deals in facts and some commentary/opinion FOX deals in corporate propaganda and fear, fear of the gays, the blacks, the Muslims, the disabled, the non-radical Christians. They are not remotely the same (one liberal and one conservative). Enough with the false equivalency.
Olbermann uses facts, Glenn Beck plays with his own poop.

  14. Jason, I suspect Keith has done a helluva lot more for the LGBT community than you have.

  15. Keith Olbermann is a true hero to not only the LGBT community, but to the liberal community, and to the community of human dignity! This whole "stunt" just goes to show the hypocrisy in our society between the conservative "Fox" news and the Liberal Media. Why can't our country wake up?

  16. After a weekend of thinking Keith would "walk", Now I'm believing it was a stunt on MSNBC. What a better way to boost Keith's rating against Fox Noise? Regardles of NBC's policy of political donations,Keith is the voice of sanity vs an insane world. Regardless of what may or may not be ture, I bet Countdown on Tuesday's show will blow away Billo's show and that is a good thing and I only hope the gay commumity continues to watch Keith's show.
Remember-- it was Keith that went to hell & back to get Rachel Maddow on air !! We all own a great deal to Keith. He IS PRO GAY "rights", and has said so even before Rachel's show can on.
    Welcome back Keith !
