  1. But all black people are homophobic and blacks are responsible for the reason Prop 8 passed in the first place! [sarcasm]

    Good for him!

  2. Good for him! But couldn't he do it without his shirt? (Not sarcasm!)

  3. @MBOAZ....it shouldn't be sarcastic because thats how many felt and still feel in trying to cover up their own sh*tty organization of Prop 8.

  4. This campaign is still going on? Don't they know the "It Gets Better" bandwagon is the new beige?

  5. On top of being a wonderful human being, he's gorgeous.

  9. @MDTERP01: that's pretty much the definition of sarcasm around here. Maybe you're new to this site, because every time an issue comes up involving American-Americans and gays, racists come out of the woodwork and (under their pathetic guise of anonymity) spout that BS. MBOAZ is sarcastically mocking their backward views.

    Bravo to MBOAZ and Cromartie.

  10. Very cool of him...

I wouldn't have expected it (considering the Jesus tattoo on his arm).

Hopefully this (and Scott Fujita) will show other athletes that they can be publicly pro-gay without any backlash..

  11. All kinds of awesome.

  12. Hmm. Rawlings duct tape in support of NOH8, or in non-support of NOH8?

  13. Hopefully he'll be the fist of many. I wonder if the Jesus tattoo next to the NOH8 was a poetic accident or deliberate? Either way it's great.

  14. yeah. What's with the duct tape? Is he not speaking hate? Is he a hater oppressed? Should we not speak out against hate? Obviously he is not a hater, so I am seeing a mixed message here. Or do I not get it at all. As a gay activist over the last 35 years, i often think I get most of what we are up to, but this eludes me...

  15. Cornerback? Sounds very cozy.

  16. Very handsome guy. I think the duct tape on the football is representative of the sport itself. It would be like Kobe Bryant supporting NOH8 with a duct taped basketball, and Lincecum with a baseball or Beckham with a soccer ball. That way if people don't recognize the person they recognize the sport.Just imho.

  17. it's awesome, but he's not a wonderful human being. He has 7 kids by 5 women and I think he's 26. There are also 5 paternity suits.

  18. mboaz, the No on 8 campaign never claimed that "ALL" blacks are homophobic, nor do I know any individual, gay or straight, who believes such a thing. This is a common strawman used to cover up the more important discussion: Whether mitigating issues by proxy (religiosity, income, education, etc) contribute to *statistically* disproportionate levels of homophobia among various ethnic groups. Whether or not the stigma has merit, Cromartie is a hero for bucking the trend!
