Watch: House's Loudest Bigot Louie Gohmert Warns of Soldiers Crawling into Each Other's Beds

During House debate of the "DADT" repeal bill, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) warned that gays in the military would destroy nations. In this clip, he warns of "overt homosexuality" and the predatory soldier who might crawl into your bunk.

  1. Now we know something about his late night fantasies.

  2. I think this says a lot more about Louie Gohmert's secret fantasies than it does about soldiers actually serving our country.

  3. Sorry Louie, even joining the gay-friendly military won't get you laid.

  4. No wonder he's so homophobic... He tried to crawl into bed with the guy he fell in love with and was rejected!

    Poor wretched thing.

Wait... isn't he the guy who was all about the terror babies a month ago?

  6. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHahahahahahaha ha ha ha ha! Are you really going there, QUEEN?! "This one time, at band camp..." What about that one time that straight military guy shot up his base, and murdered all his fellow soldiers? Should straight guys be banned from service because of one or two idiots? No. So STFU already.

  7. No mention of how the Gays would be joining the ranks of the Straight soldiers in raping those of their sexual preference?
Funny (but not) how all (ALL) the stories of military rape have to do with hetero-soldiers.

  8. Let's hope the Texans never exercise the right reserved in the treaty that led to the annexation of the Republic of Texas to the USA. In theory, 4 more states could be carved out of that large territory, giving the Senate a huge infusion of lunacy. The actual use of this is unlikely, but in a political world where some voters think Sarah Palin is a viable candidate for ANYTHING, weirdness is possible on a grand scale.

  10. You know, I have to say this. I'd rather have the toughest drag queen defending this country than a 19 year old, binge-drinking manchild away from home for the first time.

Also, straight men wildly overestimate their attractiveness. Ask any straight woman.

  11. Since this is a problem that needs to be addressed, heterosexual soldiers must be doing this all over the place.

  12. @ ESTHER BLODGETT: Totally agree with you.

Conservatives tried every argument. In one breath, our military guys are the strongest, fiercest, most masculine men in the world. But in the next, they're suddenly the victims of predatory homosexual butt-rapists. Which is it?

But thank god for the end of DADT. Many of those 19 year old, binge-drinking manchildren you speak of, will be exposed to real gay people. They'll see we're people just like them. And some of them will take that lesson back home with them.

  13. Jesus, life really does imitate art sometimes.

Anyone else remember this bit from the Onion:,17698/

"We're sending our soldiers out there with a mission, and that mission is to protect this country," said Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), one of many conservative politicians who staunchly oppose the change. "If this is repealed, what's to stop all-night sex romps from breaking out while U.S. servicemen are hiding in a bunker, or crawling around an irrigation ditch bathed only by the light of the moon, or, say, the dozens of other situations I've already thought through in elaborate detail?"

  14. Sorry Louie. Those kinds of things only happen in sexual fantasies. Like yours.

  15. What do you bet the soldier in the narrative (if he is even real) most likely had a wife and two kids back home....

    just saying.

And it goes without saying that, yes, people should always be respectful of other's personal space...

  16. @Como'mo,

'Let's hope the Texans never exercise the right reserved in the treaty that led to the annexation of the Republic of Texas to the USA.'

Like New England. In reality it should probably be one state, not 6 tiny states. But then it would lose 10 senators!

  18. I must say as a military wife, twice!!! My first husband was in the Army and my current husband, the Marines...and as a person who grew up at a military base, worked at the officers club and knows a lot about the military. I have witnessed many leaves and weekends off by countless military personal, since I was a child and I have personally spent many nights in the barracks as a guest!!!...that G.I.'s are dogs... Gay, Straight, Lesbian, Bi it doesn't matter, during their free time...they are all looking for the same thing's to have a good time and to get laid!!!

To sit and focus on the sexuality of one group of solider's when you know how our men and (sometimes)women service members shameful.

  19. Does anyone else feel like they need to shower after watching this?

I mean, soldier fantasies can be hot, but I know WAY more about certain creepy politicians' inner lives than I ever wanted to know.

  20. How revealing that all these homophobes are terrified of hot men crawling into their beds?!
    Paging Dr Freud...

  21. The whole problem with this is that when that little anecdote went down, the soldier with "overt homosexual feelings" could not be OPENLY GAY. If he could be openly gay, he wouldn't have to try and decipher incorrect cues about other people's sexuality, because if someone else in his group was gay, they could just say, "I'm gay."

  22. Yeah, and I remember this time when a really buff Army Ranger was giving me the eye and waited outside the PX for me to come out, but I couldn't ask him what he wanted because of DADT, and, anyway, now I could ask him and we could so totally do it.......... Excuse me, I got carried away

  23. Gays in the military will "destroy nations"? The DADT military has already done a fine job at that, just ask your average Afghani/Iraqi citizen.

  24. I've actually read anecdotes of soldiers doing this very thing after a heated battle in WWII and Viet Nam. These were straight men who simply needed another human being to hug after several attempts on their life by the enemy and seeing their brothers in arms butchered or worse.

This idiot's version of what the possibilities are reads like bad porn. He's obviously seen a lot of gay vids.
