Egypt Imposes Curfew, Shuts Off Internet as Protests Grow
You no doubt have heard about the clashes going on across Egypt opposing the government of Hosni Mubarak. There are some excellent online resources to follow it, if you're interested.
Live updates from the Guardian... Al Jazeera is broadcasting an ongoing live stream of the protests. They just reported that state police entered the building and may cut them off.
BoingBoing has posted a graph which shows how Egypt has effectively cut off all its ISPs. A curfew has also been imposed by the government.

We're witnessing a dress rehersal of what many countries, including the U.S., will do when social unrest occurs. Shutting off the internet is the first order of the day.

what we are seeing is USA hypocrisy at its best
Tunisia = no US biz deal or $ making opportunities under the gov thus we support the protesters so a few americans can get rich off of future biz deals
Egypt = a few americans have and do make tons of $ off of Egypt thus we are supporting Mubarek gov over the protesters
USA= Hypocrisy at its best = all so a very few can get filthy rich

Egyptian state TV says President Hosni Mubarak has ordered a night curfew from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. in Cairo, the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria and the flashpoint city of Suez east of the capital. It said the military will work in tandem with the police to enforce the ban. It was the most drastic measure so far to quell riots ...
