  2. You can't deny this young man has an innate sense of performance in knowing how to work a crowd. Now he needs to settle down and get some good voice training. He was very pitchy in spots, but that can be worked on. And yes, he probably sounded better to those in the room. Recordings often reveal much more than is apparent in live performance.

  6. It's impossible to hear oneself in a club like that, so the last note of the phrase falls in pitch- happened to taylor swift on the grammies and Darren Criss last week on the Today show.

This kid rocks- clearly means every word he sings and it's a delight to watch.

  8. "Now he needs to settle down and get some good voice training"

Totally agree, there's physical consequences if you sing incorrectly, especially in the belt-y style he likes.

"Let's hope puberty doesn't ruin his voice"

Totally agree again, it's got that *something* right now that makes it stand out. I also hope who he has around him don't push him beyond his natural limits too quickly.

  11. That put a huge smile on my face and a glow in my heart. Whether or not this young man is gay, the future looks bright if we can encourage more just like him!

  13. Everyone's a critic, eh? The notes you guys give...wow.

Give the kid a break. He's not singing incorrectly at ALL!
