New 'Amazing Race' Cast Includes Gay Couple, 'Survivor' Winners, and Olympic Snowboarders: VIDEO
The cast for the new season of The Amazing Race has been announced and includes domestic partners Ron and Bill. IN addition to several teams of unknowns, the cast also includes Survivor winners Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca and a few other high-profile cast members, Reality Blurred reports:
The cast of 11 teams includes other “teams that have competed at a very high level,” Phil says in the preview below; that’s a reference to a team of Olympic snowboarders, Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin; Zac Sunderland, who sailed around the world by himself at 16; and a former NFL player, Marcus Pollard.
The new season premieres September 25.
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

"Hey, Cindy... the guy you're engaged to? Gay. Thanks for playing."
Even though we didn't get to hear from Jeremy, because Sandy wouldn't stop yapping. I'm going to tag him as gay too (based on mannerisms). Why the hell not ;-)
The gay couple? Obnoxious. Nuf' said.

It's so great to see Ethan Zohn healthy. He had a very close call with cancer. He was one of the HOTTEST Survivor contestants EVER!
As for the couple who is "opposite in every way", well yeah, she's straight, he's gay.
And for the gay couple; here we go with the wine sipping, "high style" stereotypes again.

It would suck if the gays were the villains, but that's how this read to me.
And the opposite couple? Yeah, that boy couldn't be more gay if he were dressed like Carmen Miranda while having sex with Richard Simmons.

Are we ever going to get past representation on TV that we are not hairdressers or flight attendants that dress to the 9's?
Oh silly me. Of course not. That won't play in middle America.

I don't care if the gays turn out to be villains (I know a few who could fill easily fill that role). However, I do hope that these guys don't come off as the stereotypical gays reality shows always seem to look for when casting these shows.

um...a lot of us are hairdressers and flight attendants.!! you can't force gay people to appear on tv..maybe this couple just really wanted to do it, filled out the forms and went to the auditions !! Maybe the car mechanic couple just wanted to drink beer in a sports bar and maybe the construction worker couple were just really dull people with nothing to say for themselves ? As long as gays are on tv in whatever form isn't that good enough ? Why this constant worry about who we appear...let's start worrying when we disappear from tv screens.I'm kind of bored of bland straight acting handsome couples anyway, nothing wrong with a couple of swishy queens !!!

Amazing Race has done a great job over the years at including a broad represenation of the gay community. They should be commended, not criticized.

We've come so far since Jay and Silent Bob introduced the absurdity of people slandering complete strangers on the internet. Thanks for playing David in Houston.. I'm sure you've accomplished so much in your pathetic homophobic existence to sit anonymously behind your computer and blast reality television message boards. You call others gay while using winky face emoticons... really? Thanks for playing..
