GLAAD Launches Anti-Bullying Campaign
GLAAD today launched the "Amplify Your Voice" anti-bullying campaign featuring Chaz Bono, Kristin Chenoweth, Vinny Guadaginino, Rashida Jones, Dustin Lance Black, Sandra Lee, Mario Lopez, Shaquille O’Neal, Amy Poehler, Naya Rivera, Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott, Ariel Winter, and the cast of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.
Check out the first videos from the campaign, above.
According to GLAAD, "The campaign also features the personal stories of young people from New York’s LGBT Community Center (the Center). The Center’s Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Program is open to LGBT and questioning people between the ages of 13 and 22, and provides them with community support to foster healthy development in a safe, affirming and drug-free environment....The PSAs urge viewers to take a stand against anti-LGBT bullying and direct viewers to GLAAD.org for resource kits offering best practices to parents, teachers and students. The free kits feature resources from the American Federation of Teachers, GLSEN, the National Center for Transgender Equality and The Trevor Project, among others."

Here's a thought GLAAD, instead of going for the celebrities, why not do your supposed job and get people like hate-spox Tony Perkins off the MSM news?
How about spending time countering the lies regularly told on CNN, MSNBC and FOX News by the FRC, AFA, etc.? You know, where people regularly hear that LGBT kids don't need special protection or that protecting LGBT kids from bullies = religious persecution?
How about doing some of that "anti-defamation" work for a change?

Hmm Vinny? hasn't he been making fun of his housemate (Deena) for kissing girls this whole season? Try better GLAAD.

Mike in Houston: That's exactly the sort of work GLAAD does all the time, with great effect. Learn your facts before trashing people on our side.

SHAQ is the wrong dude for this PSA!!! He hired a guy to go after his ex mistress and harass her. If that is NOT bullying I dont know what is....
