  1. The world's largest HIV vaccine study is currently underway in cities across the US. The study, enrolling men who have sex with men, is a Ph 2B study; a clinical study that tests for immune response of the vaccine.

The vaccine currently in trial in the states is purely synthetic: it does not contain any live, weakened or killed HIV.

it's crucial that our community learns more about this important study. For a vaccine to work on all communities affected by the epidemic, we need to be part of the research. For more information, contact today.

  2. Bear in mind that NOT ALL gay men are eligible to become test subjects for the vaccine. Contact the testing office BEFORE deciding to get involved. If you are over 50 you will not qualify. After 50 not only do you become invisible in the Gay community, but your immune system changes such that the researchers can't use you. Yes Yes I know it's not fair, but invisibility does have it's good side.

  3. Vaccines have little hope of success given that Pharmaceutical Companies as a whole have zero interest in them.
