Bryan Fischer is correct about the dangers of drug use and promiscuous sex with strangers. They are open invitations to catching illnesses. Dont deny it. A lot of you are hedonism addicts and refuse to believe it, but it's true.
Therefore, as a gay man, I support Bryan Fischer in his crusade against drug use and promiscuous stranger sex in the gay male community.

As usual, Jason, you completely and utterly just fail to grasp what is going on. Sorry, but not everyone with HIV is out having promiscuous sex, or wallowing in drug dens. You have got to be completely out of touch if you believe that. Furthermore, if some invisible friend in the sky is going to cure anyone of AIDS or HIV even, simply for not doing drugs or having sex, then there wouldn't be children being born with the virus. And what about those who are infected through rape? Are they drug addled hedonists to?

I think Bryan Fischer is wrong to crusade against the homosexual orientation but he is right to crusade against the appalling lifestyles that you see gay men pursue. I've lived through it and was lucky to get out with barely a scratch.
Don't deny that the gay male social scene is a cycle of endless nothings. Eat, drink, smoke, see stranger, have sex. Eat, drink, smoke, see stranger, have sex.
I've just googled Bryan's American Family Association and will be contacting him shortly. I will point out that I have recovered from the gay male social scene like an alcoholic has recovered from being a lush.

Jason, lets assume what you say is true. If there are 7 billion people on this small planet than what percentage of them are gay and/or interact sexually with a same sex partner? Narrow your focus down and you should begin to see that the percentage of sexually transmitted diseases between same sex partners is extremely small. Rose colored glasses work for everyone. Yes, you are correct in thinking that many gay men are sexually active...risk takers...even blind to the repercussions of that activity, but what you fail to realize is that so is everyone else. Get a more global grasp on the situation, and then speak about the amoral activity of one group... and relate it to the bigger picture. Drugs, Sex & Rock n Roll were not things the "gays" started...

So, I'm a doctor and a Christian, and I'm gay. I'm all for promoting safe sex and encouraging people to get help with drug abuse/dependence. BUT, even more important than that is providing the Truth. Telling someone that if they stop having sex with strangers and don't do drugs (and poppers, lol), that God "might" cure their AIDS, is just plain unethical. I believe that speeches like this are just attempts at "fear mongering" and are quite harmful.
And as far as Jason's comments, we all know he's s little wrong too. Some homos AND heteros have lots of promiscuous sex; some dont. Some go to bars 5 times a week; others don't. Some gays and heteros use drugs; others don't. Some gays and heteros believe in God; other don't. The myth of the "gay scene" has been propogated by the Christian Right for years. Reality: we're all different. The Christian Right likes to focus on gay "promiscuity," when in reality every downtown bar is also full of hundreds of horny heteros looking to get laid +/- drugs.

There is promiscuous behavior in every culture all around the world. I don't think gays have cornered the market on this! I watched my father waste away from A.I.D.S. this is a disease that does not pick and chose who it infects! God will not intervene, unless it is not your time to die. This man is an idiot!!
