New Hampshire GOP Primary Speeches from Romney, Paul, Huntsman, Santorum, and Gingrich: VIDEOS

Nh_Romney

Mitt Romney has won the New Hampshire primary. Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry followed, in that order.

The NYT reports:

According to surveys of voters leaving polling places across the state, conducted by Edison Research, Mr. Romney did best among Roman Catholics, more affluent voters, Republicans, those who consider the economy the most important issue and those who consider themselves “somewhat conservative.”

Representative Ron Paul of Texas got the support of almost half the voters under 25, and did well with voters who said they were very liberal on social issues. A quarter of the voters said the federal budget deficit was the most important issue, and a third of them backed Mr. Paul. About 4 in 10 of those who said conservatism was the chief quality they were looking for in a candidate voted for Mr. Paul.

Jon M. Huntsman Jr., the former Utah governor, did best with voters who oppose the Tea Party movement and with voters who have a positive opinion of the Obama administration. Three in 10 of Mr. Huntsman’s voters decided on Primary Day, and 6 in 10 decided in the last few days.

  1. The salt has lost its flavor. Evangelicals have lost their influence.

Why? As the body of Christ has been split so is their political influence.
And the attitude - country first Christ second - is wrong?

What needs to be done to become salty again?

  2. @MATTHIAS KLEIN
Not intending to be rude, but a German giving our country RELIGIOUS advice on how we should be running things here is idiotic.

Here, we have this thing called "separation of church and state."

We have far too many politicians here that seem to forget that.. blur the line to oblivion.

  3. Many of the right wing theocrats in American even many republican politicians don't believe in the separation of church and state let alone recognize the provision in the constitution.

Even if Romney gets the nomination, Obama will destroy him during the debates even when it's about the economy. This man is no intellectual, has no grasp of foreign policy or the economy. People think that people with MBAs are economic geniuses, they're not. Look at Bush 43. When Romney was working at Bain Capital more than a decade ago, almost 1 in 4 companies went belly up and hundreds if not thousands of people lost their jobs and many of those jobs were shipped overseas under his watch. Bain's pension plan at the time was heavily underfunded. Guess what happened next? Romney was able to get a federal bail out. He's still receiving residuals from Bain more than a decade after he left that firm. He's going nowhere.

  4. With all due respect Herr Klein, it was Germany who gave us Ratzinger and a few other horrible creatures of history.

With Romney being such a war hawk you would thing that at least ONE of his kids would be standing on stage with him wearing a military uniform. There again Romney never wore one either; nor Gingrich, nor Santorum, nor....
