Kylie Minogue Hits Australia with Minimalist 'Anti-Tour': VIDEO

Kylie

Kylie Minogue has been giving fans a huge treat in Melbourne with her "Anti-Tour" which features a couple dozen of her unreleased tracks in a bare bones setting with no backing dancers, stage gimmicks, or big production numbers.

A few clips from performances of "Made In Heaven", "Cherry Bomb", "Always Find The Time", "You're The One", and "Too Much", AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. I find the approach admirable, really; kind of a paean to Johnny Cash in spirit, if not in specific inflection. Cash used to say that the true test of a song's quality was if it could be effectively performed with nothing more than a guitar and a microphone...

  2. Kylie is one busy lady. Rarely a day goes by where you don't read about her & what she is up to. Whether it be recording, concerts, charity, launching, chatting to fans on the web,Mardi Gras..what an output. As an aussie i admire two amazing people in this country,Ms Minougue & the man who gave me my first taste of Abba & music in general Ian Meldrum who we almost lost late last year.
    These people make me happy.

  3. Does this mean that she will actually sing on this tour? Too much lip synching last time..... Tired of paying to see that.

  4. Well, think about how much profit she can save from this approach... smart!

  5. Busytimmy: She doesn't lip synch..vocals are live...Not sure what show you were at. You can hear on Youtube clips that these are live vocals in her shows. Perhaps you're confusing her w/ britney

  6. I've found her voice to be even stronger live. She's just wonderful.

  7. Love her!

    Especially the Too Much clip.

Can't wait to hear the fully produced stuff, it sounds good already.
