Cindy McCain Talks Kirk Cameron, Says He's Not a Bigot: VIDEO

Cindy McCain, a NoH8 campaign supporter who oddly supports her husband's discriminatory position on 'DADT' and recently said that the media is to blame for the GOP's anti-gay image, tells Piers Morgan that she "strongly disagrees" with Kirk Cameron but says he shouldn't be labeled a bigot.

  1. She wants our gay troops to be discriminated against.

    She is a bigot.

  2. and lemons should not be labeled "sour" and grass should not be labeled "green" and Cindy should not be labeled "confused" or "duplicitous" or "female".
    See how easy that is?

  3. so cindy - Im sure If Peirce had a Anti-semite on,and he was against Jews..then He wouldn't be labels a ANTI-SEMITE? ..or would he just be speaking his mind ie: free speech??? Same goes IF Peirce interviewed David Duke...and he went on and on about how Blacks are less than....then we wouldn't call him a Racist? I mean its just his opinion, right????

  4. Yes, by making an aural and visual recording of exactly what Cameron said, the media is distorting the perception of what kind of person he is. Cindy's been drinking the Kool Aid, hasn't she? This could have been our First Lady, folks!

  5. She MARRIED John McCain so her brain was dead a LONG time ago. lol. :)

  6. Who's Morgans going to bring on next to claim their not Bigoted Rush, I suppose. All these quests of his Piers should have the definition of the word put in front of them before they answer. Their only conclusion could be by definition of the word...yes I am a bigot.

  7. it's actually "socially-Liberal/Moderate" conservatives that are the most ineffectual holdups.

they're the ones who claim to be against Inequality, yet don't care enough about it to do anything.

the liberal media is not to blame for pointing out the statistic realities of GOP bigotry. the overwhelming party of NO.

  8. Someone needs to explain to the Republican party that bigotry is not a term to describe intent, but actions. Kirk Cameron actively campaigns against the rights of the LGBT community, and speaks of them using disparaging terms, so he is a bigot.

The Republicans are doing their best to redefine this word. Under their logic, the only time someone could be a bigot is if they intended to be a bigot. That's nonsensical. Furthermore, liberal and non-partisan media needs to step up and object to this idiotic rhetoric. It convinces the more gullible among us that they can be derogatory and hateful and that it does not matter if they claim they aren't so. This is some big brother crap, and it needs to stop. A spade is a spade is a spade.

  9. I probably will never understand these gop wives. They're the ones living in the closets.

  10. Follow-up question, Cindy: What is a bigot?

  11. I think former teen-age heart-throbs are unsettling, creepy, dumb and should not be allowed to marry, but I am not a bigot because I love them.

  12. Definition of BIGOT
: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.

  13. BIGOT:

"a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group with intolerance."

  14. And she has the nerve to pose for the NOH8 campaign? Sorry, but just because you personally fancy yourself to be progressive and anti-discrimination, doesn't mean that you are. Bigots don't get to decide for themselves (or for each other, which is what she's doing) whether they're bigots.

What really upsets me is how this sort of thing gets a pass. Decades ago, it was more socially acceptable to openly declare your bigotry, so now that it's no longer socially acceptable, the bigots have resorted to defending themselves by saying hateful things and then claiming that they're not bigots. But then the media doesn't challenge them. That cognitive dissonance somehow just gets accepted at face value when it's just one more lie like everything else they say.

  15. I think she only posed for NOH8 because her daughter made her and she'd had a fight with John and wanted to piss him off. It's clearly not reflective of her true feelings.

Either that or her pills tell her to believe different things on different days. Or she was confused about the meaning of the words Yes and No.

  16. So I think the take away here is that you shouldn't care what she thinks, she clearly doesn't.

  17. I absolutely hated living under the Bush administration. It was a mean-spirited, war-mongering age of what I feel was social apathy. Because of Obama's win (based on mostly the fact that people felt he would really be different and open and show up at your house to hug you, etc) I think many liberals felt that it was okay to come on out and have a victory dance party. So they did.

The party did not last. It just didn't. Slowly, the Republicans made a steady climb back into the Congresses and now they are poised to take the presidency.

Fox News is the number one rated cable news program, not MSNBC. More Americans get their political meals at the table of wacked out uber conservatives. It's easy when you are among your own friends to think that the whole country's going to stay open-minded and that things will be all peachy.

I have a horrible feeling that Mitt Romney's going to be in the White House next year and you will see what Mormons are like. Everything you think about Catholics...triple it. They are quiet and private about their beliefs because they know it will scare people. They are the kinds of bait and switch.

They show up at your door with their cute wholesome white shirts and the next thing you know you're wearing magic underwear.

So, yes, Cindy here may be a wuss, but I'd rather have a wuss Republican than a strong Republican, and that is what it looks like we're getting.

Ron Paul fans have been disparaged and they are the only independents left. Who will they vote for when they can't vote for him?

    Jesus, I'm depressed.

  18. we're not antigay, we just don't think gay people should have the same rights as straight people

    Posted by: t | Mar 8, 2012 2:34:25 PM

  19. 1. My mother taught me...If you can't say anything nice about a person, don't say any- thing at all, but she wasn't an avowed Christian. I must admit that I find it hard not to say bad things about Republicans, Neo-Nazis and child abusers.
    2. Mrs McCain believes in the equality of gay people as long as they don't get uppity and remain in those flower and hair shop professions.
    3. In the past when I've posted that fundamentalist christian republicans were out to destroy the modern world, I have been accused of hate toward conservative people. I never thought so and now I can quote Mrs. McCain.

  20. Heads up, another guy who does not think that he's bigot is on Piers Morgans tonight Santorum. Will he get the bigot question...again?

I hope that Morgan has the definition of the word right in front of him!
    Twitter him!

  21. By that logic, George Wallace wasn't a bigot either...

    Posted by: MikeH | Mar 8, 2012 3:07:53 PM

  22. Personally, I don't believe that someone who believes being gay is a sin/bad/wrong is a bigot. The bigotry comes from that person trying to make me or anyone else act as if I believed being gay is a sin/bad/wrong. Since Kirk Cameron has actively campaigned against LGBT right, he is a bigot.

    Posted by: Azgaard | Mar 8, 2012 4:16:46 PM

  23. Oh, yes mam, we understand now. We love Mr. Cameron, mam. And we'll quit being uppity now and go back to cleaning the big house, mam.

  24. Someone who rejects rational thought & facts because they are in conflict with previously formed opinion - especially one who is hostile to people who hold differing opinions - is a bigot.

  25. bigots don't get to define the word "bigot" any more than racists can define the word "racist." He IS a bigot.
