Women are leading congregations in prayer, gay imams are performing Islamic marriages, and men and women are praying side by side."

The new ways that men meet — endlessly staring into phones, searching on hookup apps like Grindr or sites like Manhunt — haven’t changed the fact that we’re still having sex at rest areas, because they offer something different... Sex at the rest area, instead, abolishes identity; there’s a sort of freedom there to not be anything – instead, men just meet other men there; men who want the same sort of freedom."

  1. habib's article reminded me of The Tearoom Trade a little bit.

clearly, some openly gay/bi men visit rest stops for sex (or at least one does: habib).

but i'd guess that a lot (most?) of the visits are done by "straight" men with girlfriends or wives and even kids. very be locked in the gay vs. straight paradigm when you're bi or be locked in the gay-is-evil paradigm when you're a closeted gay. plus the potential for unsafe sex in the woods b/c "you're not supposed to have condoms--we're married & faithful, remember?" and contracting god knows what and then transmitting it to your female partner as well....

  3. "Have you ever noticed that truly 'gay' men almost never seem to be able to climax when they are the recipients of oral ses(sic)--without manual stimulation, whereas almost all 'straight' men do climax?"
Statements like this never cease to amaze me! Did the author do the research himself? How many men were in his study - has to be at least 100 but preferably closer to 1000 minimum in order to be taken seriously. Did he perform the oral ses himself or was he just observing and taking notes? What is his criteria for determining a "truly" gay man? What does he mean by "without manual stimulation" is that a totally hands free not touching anything oral ses session? Or is the author intimating that "truly gay men" also need anal stimulation while receiving oral ses? Does touching testicles also mean "manual stimulation" and is that also taboo? What about other body parts that are erogenous zones, are they also off limits unless you are a "truly gay man"?
By "climax" does he mean orgasm and ejaculation or just one without the other? Are there levels of "climax"? For example from "meh" to "Yowzah!"
The author also states "very few of the men whom I do find attractive will ever go to a gay bar or frequent a gay website." and yet here he is himself making daily visits to a gay website...curious.
He also states "Gay and the culture of effeminacy associated with it is such a huge turnoff to so many men that are interested in sex with other men that they just don't want anything to do with it....and so they seek alternative." Is this also from personal experience? Is what he is REALLY saying is that he and men like him use rest stops and other anonymous cruising areas to find other masculine men for sexual hands free release? Is THIS where he performed his *ahem* research?

And a word to Mark...maybe when heterosexuals too stop using all those places you mentioned as "personal brothels" the rest of the population will follow suit. Risky sexual behavior in public places is not a uniquely homosexual/bisexual issue, not by a long shot.

  4. "very be locked in the gay vs. straight paradigm when you're bi or be locked in the gay-is-evil paradigm when you're a closeted gay"

LOL. Nobody is locked into anything. None of it has anything to do with closetedness, either. Some basically straight guys like getting BJs and their wives and/or girlfriends either won't do it or aren't any good at it (both of which are extremely common).

And some gay guys like to give BJs to these straight guys in preference to other gay guys, because they are often more appealing than most gay men are--typically being more masculine, more turned on by being blown--and yes, therefore having orgasms which gay men seem incapable of....and having them fairly quickly......and as often as not, being so polite as to thank the gay guy who pleasured them....rather than copping an attitude.

Nothing wrong with any of it and from the comments it sounds like some of you making a big deal out of it are not too happy with your own sex lives or social lives and are bitter about the fact that some guys are.

And the intensity of the reaction to my point about gay guys being unable to orgasm when receiving oral sex just indicates that I yet again struck a chord of truth about something that is usually just swept under the rug. So be it.

  5. no, it's very true rick. you're unable to make a guy orgasm, and are so insecure about having gay sex that you can't climax either.

thank you for sharing this with us - now we all know why you hate being gay - you're terrible at sex.

this, of course, explains everything. you hate gays who have enjoyable happy sex lives just as anti-gay conservatives hate anyone else who has orgasms.

Virginia Foxx? Santorum? Bachmann? Sally Kern? Eugene Delgaudio? Ted Haggard?

there's a collection of folks who don't get oral, and certainly aren't *giving* the kind of oral they'd choose to give. so, they end up being miserable and angry and hate....everyone else that's getting some.
i'm rather proud of rick admitting that he's a part of that group :D

  6. Thanks for the links, LittleKiwi. For an even more candid admission of what makes Rick tick, check out this gem he posted under the story about the 71-year old woman:
"Yeah, BICURIOUS, but all you can do is look unless you are willing to pay them handsomely, so don't start thinking about it or you will end up either frustrated or broke or both. LOL"
Referring of course to young twinks. So now we know why Rick's so bitter: He's an old troll who grew up in a society where all an old white man had to do to get unfettered access to a young person's body was become a scoutmaster, camp counselor, or priest. Now that the idea of consent is catching on and rape victims are emboldened to speak out against their abusers, he's seeing that society crumble around him. Poor old pedo can't take the loss of his twisted pedo privilege, wrenched away from him by those evil feminists and f*ggots.
    *plays tiny violin for Rick*
