'Disturbed' OMM Reacts To JC Penney Catalog Featuring Gay Dads

The group One Million Moms released the obligatory press release decrying JC Penney for featuring real-life gay dads in their most recent catalog.

Describing themselves as 'disturbed,' the group again vowed to keep fighting the gay-friendly retailer. "Our persistence will pay off!" they declare in their press release, which also insists JCP "would rather take sides than remain neutral in the culture war."

It is obvious that JCP would rather take sides than remain neutral in the culture war. JCP will hear from the other side so they need to hear from us as well. Our persistence will pay off! One day we will answer for our actions or lack of them. We must remain diligent and stand up for Biblical values and truth. Scripture says multiple times that homosexuality is wrong, and God will not tolerate this sinful nature.

In addition to again urging their supporters to call and write to JC Penney, OMM also asks them to return any unsolicited catalogs that may come their way. "If they receive an onslaught of their returned magazines, they will take notice."

Despite these frequent calls to action, JC Penney has remained steadfast in their commitment to equality.

  2. "Our persistence will pay off!" they declare in their press release......yes,it will pay off for JC Penney.
I believe stories like this should continue to be highlighted. We should know who our enemies are and who supports us, and our supporters should be rewarded with our support of them in return.

  3. I forget, we're surprised by their response ecause why?

  4. Does anyone else see how funny this situation is? The Moms are only "disturbed" by the fact that this family looks so healthy and the Moms themselves. Yes, that's right. Take my word for it, folks. Many of those Moms are reacting to this photo exactly the way the rest of us are. And they're astonished that their own views are rapidly changing. We should just let them burn themselves out with all their pseudo-boycotts that only enable the rest of us to learn how profitable its becoming to be tolerant.

Don't worry Moms, you'll change eventually. Your confused feelings over enjoying this photo won't last forever. To paraphrase Dan Savage, ......"it gets better."

  5. Am I the only one that remembers JC Penney pulling their ads from the Ellen coming out episode? It was a big deal back then. My sister cut up her Penneys card because of it. How things have changed!

  7. When I read that OMM was "disturbed"...all I could think of was Phineas and Ferb saying "yes. Yes you are".

  8. I disagree with those who say 'Ignore them and they'll go away'. If anything, ignoring deranged people like this is the same as giving consent to what they're doing and saying. Like any cockroach, they do very well when ignored.

  9. It looks like the kids were kidnapped. Something subliminally perverse about it. More votes for Romney.

  10. Polyester blends mean they shouldn't shop there either, but that doesn't stop them?

  11. It's always a laugh riot with gay parents. Does the fun ever stop?

  12. I am entirely sick of these hate-filled chicken bitches constantly clucking to the airwaves about their maladjusted children in relation to the Gay community.

They need to take their asses to therapy to find out why they spend their days stalking strangers in the name of "motherhood".

These "women" aren't Christians or remotely sane mothers. They just use their kids, and their religion, as excuses to get into other people's lives.

I am now going back to shopping at JCPenney.

  13. Their energy would be better spent ensuring their local kids have proper food and shelter, instead of complaining about fictitious families in catalogues. 50000 moms can do a lot if they coordinate their efforts in a positive direction. However, their efforts are wasted in this endeavour, what do they think they're accomplishing here, exactly? Congrats to JC Penney for diversifying their catalog.

  14. Just bought 5 shirts from JC Penney along with an E-Mail with my thanks

  15. If moms would stop having gay children then they wouldn't have anything to complain about. Do they not realize gay people are born from mothers? They are committing many sins such as judgeing,, hating, and not loving thy neighbor as thyself. I guess these biblical teachings do not apply to them.

  16. Unless the catalog ONLY features gay dads, JCP ain't taking any sides in a culture war.

The Hundred Moms ought to just blow away, like the dried-up tumbleweeds they are.

  17. I'm glad that this story highlighting the 30K Disturbed People is here -- otherwise, I would not have known to go check out JCP and buy some new pants today.
Also, I want those guys to be MY dads! It looks like such a great, loving family.

  18. Say what you will, it's still crap clothing. I don't shop for a "cause."
But these ads and crappy clothing are going to get someone hurt. Even "we" are being manipulated. "Let's show you what two father's looks like." No thanks. It's a freak show.

  19. JC Penney will not take notice if catalogs
are returned. They will simply toss them in
the recycle bin AFTER they put the names on
the mailing labels in a special file called
c:\wackoOMM.txt which will be fed into their
catalog mailing computer database and save
a few hundred trees by not mailing them a
single piece in the future and also making
    any current account balance immediately
due and payable (which any credit issuer
can do for any reason) and then cancelling
their account or turning them over to
a hostile collection agency. Let them see
what harassment really feels like for a
    change. Douchebags Moms of America.

  20. Cliff, in the future, YOU will be the
freak show. Get with the program.

  21. I'm a mom of a lesbian teenager. I know moms who are disturbed like that. I don't hang out with those morons. Thank god they are few and far between in my neighborhood. And good for JCP for sticking to their guns! And as a mom, trust me when I say these bitches will NOT stop shopping at JCP now that their stuff is super cute and cheap as hell. Because besides being morons, they're hypocrites. Love, Mabel

  22. oh, and...."Jesus had two dads!"

Posted by: Mabel Hodges | May 31, 2012 8:29:24 PM

  23. These loons, Perkins, Maggie.... They're becoming like sad little cartoon characters, the crazy aunt or senile grandfather you have to check to make sure he's not outside with his underpants on his head. Someone should stop them before they become any more foolish.

  24. One Million Moms is really the American Family Association which is a hate group, correction a anti-gay Christian hate group who are becoming more like terrorist every day by threatening America business like JC Penny and others with loss of business if they do not surrender to OMM and do things their way. Another step into Nazi Germany with control by mad men who what to harm gays and other minorities who do not surrender to their anti-social demands.

  25. Cliff: how are the crappy clothing going to get someone hurt? How about the ad? What christian group are you here trolling for?
