A new WBUR Maine poll by the MassInc polling group shows a nearly 20 point lead in favor of a ballot measure that would legalize same-sex marriage there.

I agree that a 60% figure might be reason to be optimistic in Maine, but having lived there, I can assure you this vote will not be a landslide. If we end up with 51% or 52% I would consider that a HUGE margin of victory here. You can be assured that this will come down to a few thousand votes one way or another, so don;t assume this poll is anything other than evidence that some of the hard work of the past few years is beginning to pay off.
