  2. a) "Space smells like manly things"

Man, wouldn't it be cool if there were an all-male planet?

    Both Jersey guys, too.

    c) "Lobsters, lobsters everywhere"

People who eat lobster suck--and not in a good way. How anyone can be so cruel as to boil an animal alive or eat one after someone else has done so, is beyond me.

  3. Congrats to Mr. Siciliano, but apparently he could not bother to show a basic level of respect by dressing appropriately for a White House honor. Hopefully he did not flip off any portraits.

If you had any doubts that Rick is a misogynistic pig, you can put them to rest.

  9. I absolutely loathe Sylvester Stallone--his movies, his macho posturing, his values, everything. He is the embodiment to me of everything wrong with Hollywood, moviemaking, etc. (especially his run of unwatchable 80's-90's dreck, with the possible exception of "Tango and Cash"). However, no one should have to lose their kid. Sympathies to his family during this difficult time.

  10. Of course the Alaskan election was a shambles - that's what the Republicans do every time the are in charge of planning elections. It's their way of winning. They just foul up the whole process and nothing is ever done to rectify it and no one is ever charged. Remember Florida messing up their election on purpose to elect George W Bush ? Well, all these years later Florida is still introducing ways to suppress votes and no one is doing a thing about it !

How can this be legal ? Why does no one in the Federal Government have the power to stop this corruption ? It's happening in more than just Florida but still everyone sits back and does nothing. The American political and judicial systems are broken. We are an embarrassment to democracy.

  11. Am I supposed to have sympathy for Sylvester Stallone after his son died ? I'm sorry but Sly has been a huge supporter of the Republican Party for many years. He never thought about anyone else's family members dying through lack of an affordable health care plan thanks to people like him opposing affordable healthcare in the US.

My sympathy is saved for working people who lose their family members through an inability to afford health care coverage. I won't be shedding any tears for a rich, elitist, out of touch and over-privileged Hollywood "star" who has never had to worry about money.

  12. Why are people shocked that Penn State is keeping the statue of Joe Paterno ?
The university DELIBERATELY covered up child abuse FOR YEARS ! They didn't care that innocent kids were being abused - their priority was to keep their football team on a winning streak. Do you really not understand how twisted these people are ?

They should ALL be jailed and the statue should be destroyed.

  13. Those Australian surfers have to have balls of steel to swim out 100 yards knowing damn well "Brutus" is out there to begin with. Alas, the rest of their body is very soft.

  14. :} am I the only one a bit taken aback by the placement of the Kazaky picture next to the "bitten in half" headline. Yes, I feel bad for my nervous laughter...and passing it along.

  16. Why does Towleroad feel a need to participate in the defamation of endangered animals like the Great White Shark? Feeding into biased shark hysteria is a disservice to the oceans that need these apex predators.

The seas where this man was surfing are known to be Great White territory and he knew the risk he was stupidly exposing himself to when he decided to go there.
