  3. Ads (or television generally) where the person speaks directly to the camera (when no one is there) seem fake and insincere to me, and automatically make me mistrustful and suspicious. Can definitely understand why Romney wouldn't have wanted another layer of artificiality and insincerity, but he's having to pull out all the stops now.
