  1. Wow... the best piece of art explaining the feelings/struggles for equality yet. Truly a beautiful video (and it had me tearing up at the end). This is one to pass along to friends and family everywhere.

  4. Great video. And of course, there is something bothering me in my eyes now...

  5. Wonderful.

I really love that song and I don't like rap music as a general rule. I suspect that I'm just a little too old to really "get" it. And it's the female voice that really sells it for me, takes it over the top. She has a beautiful voice.

I bought it and play it in my car and even do that most embarrassing of things, sing along with it. A cat in a woodchipper sounds better than me singing, my voice is that awful, but I do it anyway.

  6. But they're different races! That's against God's word!

  10. WOW WOW the fact that they admit Gay men will be elderly men is amazing. Those two Gay men are not afraid of growing older. BRAVO to them for being so bold and courageous. Excellent message.

  13. Ineffective because it's preaching to the choir. This isn't going to sway middle-of-the-roaders.

  14. Just perfect. So incredibly moving.

  17. Amazing. Inspiring.

  18. @UNRULY, your comment makes no sense. This is a hip hop song so how is this an example of "preaching to the choir"?

  19. Really wonderful.

  20. Compare the evident humanity of (heterosexual) Macklemore to that of Brian Brown.

This is the best thing I've seen since that Australian "It's Time" video.

This video needs to go viral yesterday.

  21. It's a great ad and for once our lives and not that of our straight friends and families, is being talked about. I don't know if it wins us any new votes since the religious traditions from which many were raised in rationizes empathy in irrational ways but at least the story of how they are voting on our right to live (life in real life, not the abstract) is getting out there.

  22. @RJ, the only people who are going to care about this song are those who already believe in this message. Do you not understand what "preaching to the choir" means? It is not literal.

  23. well my dears this brought tears to my eyes... for the first time i thought about what my wedding would be like... the icing on the cake, the rehearsal dinner ... beautiful.

  24. to UNRULY:

then instead of bitchin' - do somehting about it. tell your straight friends, your family memebers who are straight, hell even straight strangers you come across everyday and give them a link to this video... share it with them. watch it with them. stop complainin'. do something so that our voices can be heard beyond the choir.
