Tagg Romney Wanted To 'Take A Swing' At Obama During Debate: AUDIO

Tagg+romney

Asked by North Carolina radio host Bill LuMaye how it felt to hear President Obama expose his father's misleading comments during the presidential debate this week, Tagg Romney said he wanted "take a swing" at the commander-in-chief.

RADIO HOST: I’m gonna ask something I know a lot of people want to know, or at least I do. What it is like for you to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar. How do you react to that?

TAGG ROMNEY: Uh, you know, uh, well, jump out of your seat, and you want to rush down there to the debate stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can’t do that, because um, well first because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him…

  1. It seems like sociopathy is hereditary. Neither have them has a conscience. Yeah, that's the reason you don't just hit people. Only because you fear to be punished.

  2. A normal reaction. So what?

  3. Mitt raised a sociopath and failed as a parent. It disproved the theory children should be rasised by one man and one woman.

  4. Kids who are bullies (i.e., Mitt Romney) grow up and are the parents of bullies.

  5. How totally tacky, Tagg.

  6. Yeah, the real question is how it feels to sit there and have someone call your Dad a liar on national television.

Not, you know, how it feels to sit there and have your Dad actually lie to millions of people.

  7. Since mitt and his family believes that life begins at conception, why don`t people ask what about the embryos his son and his wife have left after their surrogate twins?? In their view, the embryos is human and have a right to life etc They are opposed to birth control pills etc but when their surrogate wanted to get pregnant with their children, then birth control pills is a must!
There are so many more things to point out in that situation, where they believe a thing for others and a totally different thing when they earn on the situation.

Being able to get the help of a surrogate to have a child is a wonderful thing. But it's different when they really are against everything it means for everyone else - but them.

  8. Could have been worse... Obama could have accused Romney of palin' around with terrorists.

  9. @ UFFDA -- no, it's not normal. It may be normal internally, emotionally, but *anyone* whose parent is in the running to be President of the U.S. should express respect for the role.

Good response: "Obviously I felt it was inappropriate and personally it was upsetting, but my dad also exposed some issues".

    Bad response: what Tagg said.

The Republicans have been running a scorched-earth strategy since Obama was elected, fomenting disrespect, distrust, and even hatred of the government and the President himself. It's seditious, and -- now we see Tea Party hating on and getting rid of moderate GOP legislators -- it is already coming back to bite them in the ass. The Republican climate of fear and hate -- towards the elected government of the citizens -- is disgusting and wrong.

  10. This is pathetic. Mitt Romney has been caught lying repeatedly. Tagg Romney knows the score. Therefore, his whole wanting to take a swing at the president is made up. He wants the audience to think he's full of righteous anger when he's really just a cynical jerk playing the audience.

Anyone who can't see that LYING is part of Romney's strategy is either ignorant of the facts or is him/herself deeply cynical.

Mitt's ability to lie so easily to the public in such a blatant fashion with a straight face should disqualify him from office.

  12. Mitt said that people's views on violence changes, if they are raised by two parents. I guess this would disprove that theory.

Most people know how to appropriately respond to someone saying something that they don't like without having to resort to violence. It's not surprising that Tagg couldn't come up with an intelligent counter argument, I believe he's the same one who believes that the President was born in Kenya.

  13. Aww..c'mon Tagg! Don't get your magical panties in a wad.

  14. Wait. Umm his name is Tagg? With two G's? Stupidest name since Tripp. LMFAO

  15. Yes, all that religious righteous love and acceptance is so obviously showing in Tagg's response.

I do understand that watching one's parent being publicly scorched is hurtful, but Tagg an adult male, even more, an adult parent who was raised in the public political arena because of his father's career, has clearly demonstrated that hate and ignorance BREED hate and ignorance.

Let us remember that Tagg has been raised in an environment intolerant of people of color, and same-gender relations. Where his faith promotes that the male would be admitted freely in the kingdom of his god, but his wife would not without Tagg's absolute acquiescence. Looking at Tagg's reaction, one can't help but wonder what is behind that attitude, and how accommodating his faith has proven to be in regards to his own needs (i.e. signing agreement to allow the carrier of his twins to terminate pregnancy as SHE chooses to opt out of the agreement).

  16. Gee, Tagg (with that name, are you sure you are not a Palin?), why don't you work off some of that anger by volunteering to go and fight in Afghanistan? Oh, that's right - the last 5 generations of the Romney family haven't served in the military of the country that defends their religious freedom as no other country would.
Maybe now Tagg may understand how Obamas daughters feel when they hear their father being called a Socialist Kenyan Muslim Usurper who is not a legitimate president by the right-wing freakazoids of the Republican Party.
Oh, and BTW Tagg, as Eric Cartman says,"Suck My Balls!"

  18. By all accounts, George Romney was a decent and kind man. How he raised such a twit, is beyond me. Though the same sort of thing happened to George HW Bush.

As for Tagg, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

  19. LOL at Incontinent Joe Biden now out on the road trying to make hay of the fact that Romney has only boys, no daughters. Can you spell P-A-N-I-C ? Love that Valerie Jarrett, she never cares how ridiculous Joe looks and gives him the funny stuff.

  20. I see Mittens passed on his sociopathy. Really, Tagg, it's only the secret service that would have kept you from slugging the president, not the fact that it would have been a childish outburst on your part?

@Markus, the only desperation here is you.

  21. Tagg, perhaps you know old Russian epic of Cinderella. "if shoe fits, put it on and wear it. But the little boy doesn't even acknowledge his daddy was corrected on stage by the moderator about Libyan terror comments.

  22. No matter what he thought, he should have kept his mouth shut for fear of harming his father's campaign (even more than is has been already). Shows you what an idiot he is.

  23. What Tagg really wanted to do was tackle Obama and cut off his long hair.

  25. The level of disrespect continues to shock and sadden me. And the fact that at least 60 million people will vote for Mitt is kind of depressing. But the bright spot is there's just not enough idiots to put these jerks into the White House anymore.
