1NewsIcon After President Obama took issue with GOP obstructionism, House Speaker John Boehner said the commander-in-chief should "lead, not cast blame. The president’s comments today are ironic, as a recurring theme of our negotiations was his unwillingness to agree to anything that would require him to stand up to his own party."

Tyrell1NewsIcon Jennifer Tyrrell, the Ohio mother stripped of her "Den Mother" Cub Scout title because she's a lesbian, is now blogging. From her first post, "Rebel Who Found Her Cause": "If you would’ve asked me at any point in my life if I thought I would be an anti-bullying/equality advocate, I would have laughed hysterically. In fact, a frequent victim of bullying as a child, I became full of rage and set on vengeance."

1NewsIcon Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster who describes marriage equality proposals as an "Orwellian plot," is urging voters to write to their MPs and oppose same-sex nuptials. "I urge everyone who cares about upholding the meaning of marriage in civil law to make their views known to their Members of Parliament, clearly, calmly and forcefully. Please do so as soon as possible," he wrote.

1NewsIcon Charlie Sheen claims a lisp that has gone unnoticed by anyone for the past three decades of his career caused his "maggots" to sound like "faggots" in the following sentence, "How we doing?...Lying bunch of maggot assholes, how we doing?" Watch the video, he definitely didn't say "maggot."

  5. USPS does not receive any of our tax dollar, was always fiscally solvent even profitable until Congress quietly passed a bill during the Bush years that demanded it set aside pensions SEVENTY YEARS IN ADVANCE. Now it is deeper in the hole every year, in order for it to be shutdown & privatized. Look it up! The best, most affordable& reliant postal service in the world will be shut down& i think ONE congress person is trying to draw attention to it. If you're reading this you 're probably too rich to care, but it not just about the upper middle class, this is huge for the working class & poor. Amerrrrrica, thar she blows.....

  7. The Catholic Church has been plotting and destroying LGBT people for a long time. God is paying them back for the evil they do by waking the people up who go to the Catholic Church and they have been leaving the church not only because of the evil they do to gays but the evil their priest do to children when they rape and abuse them.

  8. I think the President's plan to humiliate and further weaken the Republican Party is working perfectly. I could see this coming in the summer of 2011, when this schedule was set, with the full consent of the Republicans. They thought they had some sort of great victory over the President then. The great "irony" of this entire matter is the Democrats have stayed united at least in public and the Republicans have looked increasingly weaker and foolish and Mr. Boehner is getting all the credit.
