Watch Cory Booker Announce Potential 2014 Senate Race: VIDEO

Earlier it was simply unnamed sources talking about how Newark Mayor Cory Booker was planning to run for U.S. Senate in 2014.

Now Booker's doing the talking - in a video AFTER THE JUMP, the Democrat explains that while he loves Newark and his job, there's more work to be done in the Garden State and the nation, so he's "considering" a 2014 Senate race. We know what that means...

Watch Booker explain himself AFTER THE JUMP.

  1. I'd move to NJ just to be able to vote for him.

  2. While I'm typically a Chris Christie-Republican, I think this is a good idea. Cory Booker has been an effective LEADER...not "just another politician"...for his city and the State of NJ. Plus, instead of a fratricidal gubernatorial election between republican Christie and democrat Booker, the residents of NJ can support both and benefit from their cooperation. It's a win-win.

  3. Booker isn't dumb. He knows, after looking at all the polls, that nbody has a snowballs chance in hell to beat Christie for Governor. So he will try to snag a Senate seat.

  4. So that's what his publicity stunt with eating poor people's food for a week was all about.

Politicians never fail when it comes to depraved self aggrandizement.
