  1. Of course Mama June fears mayo.

It's like when two magnets repel each other.

  2. "Every gay should live by." ????

WTF is this? How shallow, racist, ageist, prejudiced is all of this crap?

The wide world of gay used to be just that...very diverse. Now it's merely a product, a mirror of the norm. What crap. The young, inexperienced, self-loathing, overly self-entitled twerp that wrote this needs to drop dead. I was hoping it was written in jest, but this elderly boy (not a man) is so full of himself.

This generation of gay man's motto: putting the homo back into homogeneity.

  3. @FuryOfFirestorm, personally I'm surprised. I kind of thought her reaction to mayo would be "Gimme a straw!"

  4. Why on earth would the supposedly gay-friendly Lady Gaga want to collaborate with the seemingly not-very-gay-friendly Rihanna?

Rihanna is known to be a fan of extremely homophobic singers from the Caribbean whose lyrics reportedly include incitements to murder gay people. Shouldn't this be the theme of this report?

I think a lot of these female pop singers get an automatic pass from the gay media despite the fact that they influence a lot more people than the politicians that the gay media often goes after.

  5. It's interesting that Andrej Pejic's female side in Elle wears skimpy clothing but the male side wears body-covering suits. Talk about promoting sexist stereotypes!!

Frankly, I don't like him. I think he's trading on stereotypes of the type preferred by straight guys. I don't view Andrej as being a friend of the gay community. I know I could be wrong on this but I have no time for men who parade around in women's clothing promoting sexist stereotypes.

I've not really seen anything that would determine that Rhianna doesn't like or care for LGBTQ people.

Her association with fellow compatriots from the West Indies nations does not mean that she might share some of those singers points-of-view vis-a-vis gay people.

Yeah, I know, Beanie Man, etc., but sometimes in order to change people's minds ya gotta engage. It's all about education and changing minds--and hearts.

By the way, your criticisms of Rhianna et al for the most part are old news.

Also, maybe you and Rick and others here who freak out over androgyny and its long history in the gay and lesbian community as a reality and a provocation need to get a grip and get a life.

It's OK. Looking at androgynous men won't turn you queer or make you want to run out and try on a dress at your local K-Mart (although you might try it maybe next Halloween; it's actually a lot of fun and it does challenge your self-perception and anyone else's perception of who you actually are).

  7. I don't see how Andrej Pejic's complete failure of manhood is a gay news story. Obviously, Towleroad equates being gay with being a failure as a man.

Jamal49, I agree with you. Walking around pretending to be half-woman will challenge peoples' perception of you. They'll start to think of you as a pathetic clown. And they would be right.

  8. Oh, Hells Bells, a 10-yr. old with a PC can create graphs—and that's about the mental maturity age of Andrew "Raw Muscle Glutes" Sullivan. Remember when he promoted the racist junk science of the "Bell Curve"? Remember when he promoted Shrub's invasion of Iraq? Remember when he declared "AIDS is over"?

  9. Damn, I thought we were rid of Jason for good.

No, he's back with a new handle, Steven Lucas, and trolling the same tired lines.
